Botswana
Camp next to the Xade gate from Central Kalahari.
They have a few spots, but feels more like wild camping.
There is an ablution block, but there is no running water because the elephants broke it.
And know that the roads around here are very sandy!
(The only 'down' part is the generator that is running most of the time for the rangers. )
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

As we had been in the park for 5 days, when registering at the gate we asked if we could get some water. The Ranger happily directed us to their staff camp. Look out for the 2 green water tanks. Gravity fed water and the local guy said it was bore water and drinkable. We only used it for washing.
Report Check-InPro:
-friendly staff
-wifi at reception
Con:
-NO water
-still broken ablutions
-no shade at campsites
We spent a night at campsite 5 - a lovely site with a beautiful view.
The ablution block has no water and is in terrible state - don't think it will ever have water or be repaired.
The generator in the staff village runs all night.
All information correct.
Please note that the road North to Piper Pan, is badly overgrown and not traveled often, if you like the paint work on your big rig; avoid this route!
Exactly as described over a year ago - no running water and the generator still hums away. Spot number 5 is abandoned because an elephant knocked down the shade tree. Our pick was number 4.
