Ecuador
A cheap camping site/hostel a bit
out of town. 2.5 usd pp to camp.
Nice owners and most travellers are backpacker's from South America. WiFi, swimming pool, steam room and sauna, cooking area, a place to leave your luggage and hot showers.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
A good place to camp, we spent one night, it was quiet. Don Fausto is very friendly and attentive, there is a shared kitchen, swimming pool, bathrooms, showers, everything complete, highly recommended.
The price is $2.5 per person.
Un buen lugar para acampar, pasamos una noche, estaba tranquilo. Don Fausto es muy amable y atento, hay cocina compartida, piscina, baños, duchas, todo completo, muy recomendable.
El precio es de $2.5 por persona.
we were pleasantly surprised by the place
$6 for 2 people and Motorhome
excellent wifi
shower: (very) hot water
safe place and very quiet night
people who live here are friendly
Report Check-InCannot recommend
te owners are super nice and the showers are one of the best we had in South America .. But the other guests (mostly backpackers and homeless people) are behaving like pigs .. they are shitting everywhere, puking in the shower and throwing trash everywhere .. like wtf? If you need a place for a night with a good shower, ok.. but to stay longer its nothing ..
Report Check-InNice and quiet camping place outside of town (20min walk to the center) where we stayed 2 nights. Very nice and helpful owners! Price 3$/p.
Very basic toilets and shower (with hot water!).
Common kitchen included, but very dirty with leftovers and not washed dishes, probably because of the longtime tent-campers there. It was so dirty that we only used our gas cooker at our van…
Pool and Sauna out of service at the moment.
Nevertheless a very good place to stay in Baños!
It has seen better days, but overall fine for being one of the cheapest options in town. Lots of space to park, Fausto is a friendly guy and seemed to spend most of his time on upkeep while we were there - mowing the grass, cleaning the bathrooms, etc.
Bathrooms and kitchen not the best. There are some long-term tent campers at the moment who might be responsible for the grubby kitchen, they didn’t cause any issues though.
Location is great for reaching the town. We felt safe here.
Spacious, green camp site with pool, kitchen, hot showers and wifi. The gate is plenty big enough to enter with a big rig - see photo. We have a 2.5m wide van and had loads of room. 15 minute walk back into the town.
Report Check-InHot water big parking space on a grassy filed. Entrance is a bit small with we have a pickup truck an just managed it. The place had it better times but for the price fair and quite.
Report Check-Inbasic.$3pp.very uneven temp shower, doesnt have a soapholder or a nail for a towel ?!c'mon!leaving baños anyway.not interested.
Report Check-InPlace near city centre, place has some tents placed under a roof for backpackers mostly from south America, the area for the campervan is flat, but the surroundings are a bit outdated. Some old fish ponds, and an old empty pool.
OK for a night, but not the best place we stay.
Report Check-InWe stayed for two nights and paid 3 USD p.P.p.N. Peaceful place with a lot of hostal guest. The bathroom and kitchen more or less clean. We told them and they start to clean immediately. Wife of the owner was unfriendly.
Report Check-InFausto also let us use the big washing machine for FREE!!! And he hung up some lines in the pool area under the roof. Our stuff dried within 3 hours! It's super quiet here at night!
Report Check-InNow 4$ per person. With an extension cord you can plug your motor home in. Pools and sauna are only filled with water and usable on Sundays. Quiet at night.
Report Check-InBig Rig MAN 7.7m long, 2.4 metres wide, 3.5 m high.
No height restriction, very tight squeeze entrance. Big flat parking area inside with power and ok most of the time WiFi.
Easy five or so minutes walk to town centre with basic super market.
Good place to stay!
DO NOT DRINK THE TAP WATER!! Fausto stated the water was potable yet it gave me severe indigestion.
Report Check-InGood place to stay for only $2.50 pppn. No water in the pool, no sauna but a hot shower with pressure, that’s all we need.
Report Check-InLugar ideal para acampar (2.50Usd pp), ofrece habitación (10usd), cerca del centro, cómodo y amplio. Cocina compartida, acceso en todo horario (no cierran la puerta), Wifi.
Report Check-InWe stayed here trapped for 15 days when the general strike in Ecuador. Really the best place to stay.
2.5$ pp for camping, extremely friendly owners, amazing super hot showers and a big nice grass field.
The only disadvantage is the quite dirty and poorly equipped kitchen, we used our own stuff for cooking with their gas.
Report Check-InDuring the time we were there, the three covered pools (one of them has warm water) are open on Sundays only. Nice and quiet place.
Report Check-InFausto is a nice guy and the place has everything you need. The kitchen area could be cleaner. Overall it was a nice and quite stay with good connection to all the touristic places . 2.5$ pp.
Report Check-InNice place but facilities DIDN’T FEEL TOO COZY. Shower nice and hot, but could be a little cleaner. Location, site itself and owner all PERFECTLY FINE. Good value for money. USD 2,5 pppn. You can park in reach of WiFi on lawn.
Report Check-InThe best camping we found in Ecuador. Fausto is super nice, it s cheap, all amenities, quiet and great location!!!
Report Check-InGreat place to stay a couple of days and you can see the Vulcano. Our campervan is 8 meters long and 3,3 meters high and it fits. There is big grassy fild to park. There are some hiking options directly from the campsite, Fausto and his wife are very friendly, you have pools, hot shower, close a minimarket and you can get to the center of banos for 1 dollar by taxi or walk there. Price 2.5 dollar pp
Report Check-InOne night here to use the hot showers, quiet place, not so nice but its okey
Report Check-Inthe place was good, but shower gets cold at some point I don't know why, and wifi not work well, there's a lot of travelers here, so everyone is online, keep stopping wifi...
Report Check-Inreally nice place! idk why others paid 5pp, we still paid 2.5pp. Wifi is pretty reliable, showers are great and clean! 15-20min walk the town center. Pools are super nice and clean. The lady is very friendly - absolutely recommended!!
Report Check-InGreat place to stay, the family is very nice. The pool and steam room were not operational when we were there, but strong Wi-Fi, full kitchen and endless hot showers. For $2.50 pp/pn I can't complain.
Report Check-InOpen, on janvier 2019, price is 5 $ pp, we were there with a small van ...
Report Check-InPerfect place to stay a little bit outside of Baños. Huge property, really relax. The owners are nice. The only thing is that the kitchen would need some love (no fridge, old stuff). Otherwise, amazing spot!
Report Check-InWe've been here for six nights; this place had been pretty great. We have had the whole lower grass field to ourselves. The gas-heated showers are bloody hot. You just have to wait a few seconds for it to heat up. The owners are nice; we weren't sure about the woman at first because she is very strict about getting the camping fee every day, but she's actually very nice. She even let everyone use the sauna and steam room for free on Sunday (we're not really sure why, but everyone enjoyed it.) Wifi is pretty reliable. $2.5 a person is amazing value. For that, you can even forgive the mess in kitchen (from backpackers; their forte is the arts, not cleaning). But owners clean everything every morning. The gate coming in is tight on the sides, but we got in our class B RV, and a truck with a trailer managed just fine. Just have to wiggle a bit.
Report Check-InA nice basic campground. Big (clean) grass fields, play ground, big kitchen, pools, trail to viewpoint, hippy vibes. Good WiFi, hot showers and only the weekend they fill the pools. A lot of place to park your car. And big inside places to pitch your tent. Very cheap, 2,50 p.p. The gate is wide, but around 3,5 meters high.
Report Check-InStill true what riislemmer wrote. Big area for camping, super nice owner and still 2,50 USD/Person for putting your tent. They also have rooms, but don't know how much they charge for it. Two of three swimming pools were filled with water. We saw some dogs, but not sure if they belong to someone at the campground. They have also laundry places to wash your cloths by hand. So, very good place to camp, especially for low budget travelers.
Report Check-InNo pets allowed in hostel and camp area so we didn't stay.
Report Check-InExcepted the dog after persuasion. Hippy vibe, nice area. Woken by chickens. Far from town. Swimming pools were empty. Showers weren’t hot or warm. Kitchen.
Report Check-InA cheap camping site/hostel a bit
out of town. 2.5 usd to camp.
Nice owners and most travellers are backpacker's from South America. WiFi, swimming pool, cooking area, a place to leave your luggage and warm showers.
