Description
This is a really good place to sleep close to the routa touristica between Dolores Hidalgo and Guanajuato. There is toilets, and an amazing restaurant with view on the desert. It's almost like they invite you in their home ! The owner is really friendly lady. She's also selling ice cream, drinks and and even cheap gasoline. There are many spaces not to close to the road, quite by night 😊

Great place to spend the night outside of Dolores, if you don’t want to be near the city. However, she has no running water, so no showers and you have to scoop water from a barrel to the toilet. BUT, she is a very hospitable lady, and didn’t charge us anything to park in her lot. Some traffic noise, but her yapping dogs were worse. Minor offerings in the restaurant, but she makes a great breakfast. Very secure place. We met a few family members, very humble. We felt we owed her for the overnight, so we paid for breakfast the next morning. Great place to stop before spending the day in Guanajuato.
Report Check-InSome updates to the place. The owner does not sell gas, she can help someone out if they need it, but she is not allowed to sell it and she doesn't do it. She is building a hotel and restaurant, at a slow pace, whenever she has funds and ways to do it. She said that she is willing to receive overlanders, and offers hot showers, a dining place at her restaurant and also sells beer, bread and some othet stuff.
Her place is simple, shower is rustic, but hot and does the job perfectly. It is 14km from Dolores Hidalgo, and for me is the best option. When I stayed it wasn't very quiet at night, but it was September 14th, and people were all over the road carrying a torch, from Dolores to Guanajuato City.
I recommended the place, it is clean, the owner is very friendly, the view is very nice, and the parking spots offer some shade and level grades.
She charged me 100$, but she said that it would be good for her to go to 150$ if someone else comes, so that she can keep things tidy and improve.
When getting there, ask for Doña Pata, and deal with her. Do not deal with her son, he is next door to her, he also has the hotel-restaurante signs, but he is not the owner.
If you're coming from Dolores, she runs the first set of buildings, and her son occupied the second set.
