Something not right?

Description

Large spot at top of ridge line. Large fire pit set up and dried wood all around. Amazing views of Olympic mountains and stars at night. Large enough for a few vehicles. Road can be narrow coming in and with a few switchbacks, there will be some scrapes. 2-3 bars of Verizon 4G

beautiful view, the bugs have calmed down from the previous posts, there are some wasps but nothing horrible. Our 2-wheel drive ambulance made it with ease, so I think anything can work, provided you are not school-bus length. the worst part on the route is the turn in right into the spot, it’s a steep uphill turn that I could see a longer rig having issues with, the rocks on the inside of the turn are very jagged and I needed to take the turn nearly into the bushes on the outside of the turn to avoid them. Picture included. There is some garbage near the fire ring. It looks like somebody attempted to burn a ruined canopy, but it’s clean overall. This may just be my best find using this app. We spent over a week here and saw 3 other vehicles. P.S. The spot down the road is not even worth checking out, no view and lots of trash.

Gravel road up doable in 2wd. Incredible views and nice sized site for 1-2 vehicles. However, did not stay here as there were wasps swarming us the entire time. If not for those, this would have been perfect.

This view is seriously epic. However- NO view would ever be worth the swarm of horse flies present. We could not even be outside during the day because it was so bad. I would highly recommend this spot in the spring/fall, but cannot recommend enough avoiding it in the summer. It took us about 45 minutes to make it up the road in a promaster.

What an amazing view, very secluded and surrounded by nature and mountains!! Had pretty good service up here as well, was a long drive but definitely worth it!!

Wow okay… crazy views . A little bit scary going up but nothing too difficult. I’m in a 170wb 2WD sprinter.

Very nice place. Glad someone originally posted this site. Made our trip thru Olympic great!

Fantastic views!
cleaned up some casings and cigarettes but otherwise the spot want too dirty. Very busy for as far out as this spot is. We shared the spot a couple of nights with zero issues as there is plenty of room for multiple vehicles. The road up is quite 'thin', you'll likely get pinstripes. The entrance to this site is a sharp uphill turn but we made it in a 21'+ hightop 4x4 (wasn't necessary to get here). There are a few amazing does even further up the road where you can actually view Mt Olympus! This is clearly a locals spot as well.

Super place, thanks to the OP for sharing!

Been here a few days. One of our best locations yet. Views forever. Full Verizon & gFi here. Flat with enough room for 3-4 vans. Trailers might be a little tough. I'd recommend high clearance and 4x4 to get here without destroying the road. Pin stripping is a given. (4) more road-side sites up the road if needed.

completely snowed in, don't waste time trying to get here until the end of may.

Tacoma was tried to clear path.

A bit hard to get to, but worth it. Great view of the sunset and mountains. We could faintly see the ocean beneath the clouds.

Incredible views at the top! We were lucky to be here on a perfectly clear day with no wind. Not a short drive to get here, though! Probably an hour from the main hwy. 30 min of it is gravel road and the last 10 min are very tight bushwhacking style driving. We made it through in a promaster but definitely brushed against bushes on both sides at the same time for a few hundred feet. Nothing serious enough to cause concern. Maybe some minor scratches. There are some spots before it gets tight but they’re not at the very top of the ridge. 2 bars Verizon. 1 bar AT&T if you stand in just the right spot. Btw this is the same area as the other “Ridgeline with a view” pin.

We stayed here 3 nights. Started out cloudy and very foggy. But the views once it fleared up were awesome! Long way up the fire road but you can do it in 2wheel drive. We did have to stop and move some fallen rock off the fire road.

Report Check-In

Quite a long drive from the highway. Very narrow at parts, had to get out and move branches to get our promaster through. the actual overnighting spot is up a short but steep incline with a very sharp turn. can be very windy, we got rocked all night. view is probably very pretty if the fog clears.

Great spot on the top of the mountain, views all around...as long as the weather is nice.
Forest road is nice and wide but had quite a few potholes along the way. 3 bars LTE on Verizon.

Report Check-In

This place is just as described. Take the fire road to the top and there’s a big level parking spot with lots of space to set up camp. The views are incredible, you have to see it for yourself. Definitely a top overlander spot that we’ve been to yet!

Report Check-In

Large level spot with million dollar views.
