Description

Awesome mechanic! We had our transmission go out on the way to Palenque. It cost us $700US to get it fixed as well as a fuel pump and radiator. The owner is honest and extremely hard working. He even drove my husband back to Agua Azul to tow our trailer to Palenque for the cost of gas.

We've been there because of the many comments and we're disappointed. We worked with Javier, we had a leak on transmission oil. He charge us the doble on oil, we could see the price on the bottle, he did a welding for the leak, but didn't worked and we fuck up our transmission because of it. We also saw him increase the price by 2 or 3 for oil change after an agreement on the price. So be careful for big repair and negotiate price properly before.

This morning, visit to Lujan Garage. Good job and normal price. But Lujan asked Mr Palomo to repair our horn. 30 minutes work. Mr Palomo charged us 4-5 times too expensive, but Lujan was no longer at the garage to help us. We advise other travelers to ask Lujan to discuss the prices of people who intervene in his garage. It is his responsibility not to let his clients facing overprices. It is his responsability that his clients have normal prices.

The fuel gauge, on my van, stopped registering the gasoline level. It became difficult to add fuel to the tank.
Javier and his crew got me in early, on a Monday. It appeared the fuel pump would need replacing. It would be 2 days to get the part.
I believe Javier sensed my disappointment. He came up with a clever solution and had me back on the road by 2 pm.
I can't recommend these guys highly enough!

After reading all this positive comments we decided to come here to ask Javier whether he finds the reason for the noise on the front axle of our MB310. The staff looked at it first and called Javier. He showed up immediately (and I mean not Mexican "immediately", but Swiss "immediately" :-)) in the garage and looked at the car. He found out pretty fast, where the problem was and they fixed it. He didn't charge us anything, but we gave them a propina. They were very helpful, competent and friendly.

normally I wouldn't recommend a mechanic in Mexico, but Mr. Lujan is so trustworthy and professional he will fix your problem 100 percent or at least be honest to you if he can't.

I fully recomend this mechanic. Javier the owner of Lujan made 2 trips on Saturda 18:00 to the central plaza of Palenque to make our car start again and finished the job up at his place. He knew well what he was doing and it seemed to me that he is a good boss to his employees.

Lujan is the name of the place but the mechanic is called Javier. He fix my gasoline pump. He change the front right ball joint. He is trying to learn english. He is an honest man that Love to receive overlanders. He is very honest with the prices. No expensive. I recommend this stop if you are going to Guatemala as a last stop to have many parts of your vehicle that May be in central america is more dificult to get. Autozone 10 minutes walking from here, perfect spot for travellers.

As described, really helpful and friendly, fixed our generator, backlight, brakes and oil change for 3‘250p, which was a really fair price. We were extremely happy with the service, can only recommend this place! Is also able to repair big rigs, there is plenty of space (29ft).

Went to this mechanic since we read good reviews. Him and his staff friendly and helpful.
We had him check our van since we popped a tire/broke a rim slightly running into a semi truck.
They found a bolt broken holding the suspension together.
They also spent a lot of time trying to help us find a replacement but to no avail (we need a large tire and are headed to Merida to hopefully purchase.)

Good mechanic, large clean shop and very friendly. Almost no English.

Got a new Head Gaskate for my Ford Explorer (at nearby Autozone) and got the Cylinder Block (graded).
This with some small parts cost P9,100 and took 2.5 days (they had to take out the entire engine).
