Nice mountain view. Good for a night or two. Up to GPS coords is safe but after sand gets loose.
Also giant hole in the road. Be very careful. Someone put a mattress spring on top. Maybe to warn folks. But it definitely not ok to drive over. (Pic attached).
Unfortunately there is natural gas station nearby with a generator running all day and night that you’ll here in this spot and may disrupt your sleep. Or just drive you crazy. :)

Report Check-InGreat spot, warm-ish even in winter. We were the only people here. Fire pits. Watch out for broken glass! There were broken beer bottles everywhere. But otherwise quiet and peaceful night! Beautiful sunset and place to camp out. Great Verizon service.
Report Check-InWindy, on a bit of a rise, some noise and truck traffic from nearby. We were the only ones there, enough space for plenty of rigs.

Report Check-InTwo semi level areas for pull offs to the left when you pull in. When you hit the first medium sized hill with a small rock firepit that's about as far as big rigs should go. I tried to go further in with my FWD Ram Promaster and got stuck in the sand/gravel after the second hill let's out. Great service for Verizon, 3 bars with 4G. 1 hour away from the Hole-in-the-wall visitors center for Mojave Preserve. Make sure you have a shovel handy if you you try spots further up. No amenities, please be self sufficient. No one passed us on the road the whole night. A relaxing area if away from the road.

Report Check-InNice place to camp right off of I-40. Expect some road noise, and there is some machinery across the street that makes noise. Very scenic area. I wouldn't say there is a ton of space here, but you can get a handful of people in this spot without a problem. There are more spots beyond this, but the sand is soft and deep in some of them. I wouldn't take a bigger rig past this point. Good Verizon and AT&T.
Report Check-InPlace is as described; A little windy off, not too far of the road, one mile from the interstate, I just got here so I’ll see how it goes, plus I have pretty good cell reception so I’m thinking I’ll stay.

Report Check-InMy least favorite spot I've stopped at that I found on ioverlander. I went a little further on the road, quiet at night. I would not bother going back unless I really needed to stop for the night.

Good spot other than a group came in at 3am and played loud music, yelled, and shot guns for a couple of hours. woke me up. not sure how common this is.
