Quinta La Huerta is a good spot to split your trip between Nazca and Cusco. Large nice grassy area for camping. Picnic tables under trees.
Showers and full flushing toilets, fruit trees. Option to buy dinner/breakfast. The owner, Ricardo, runs rafting trips on the river. The turnoff is at Km 424.

Report Check-In

Nice scenic spot down for 1 night to break up journey between Cusco and nazca! Friendly family, cute pet llama

Report Check-In

Great spot, also für kids, Trampolin, playground, swimbath. We also had a good Lunch here, huge portion. Family who runs the place is soooo lovely and helpful. On a sunday there were also a lot of locals playing volleyball. Music was playing until 17:30, totally recommend this place ❤️

What a wonderful place next to the mainroad to or from Cusco. Stayed next to the two avocado trees on a large grass field with three dogs an Alpaca and a Lama. The owners are super friendly and gave us avocados from their own garden.🥑 100% recommended.

Report Check-In

Passamos uma noite aqui! Ótimo lugar para descansar no caminho de Cusco. Tem uma alpaca no jardim, o nome dela é Valentina. Cuidado com as aranhas no banheiro.

Report Check-In

What a wonderful place for only 25 soles per night per vehicle. Very friendly people, nice animals, warm showers and also good food in the restaurant. Totally recommend!

Report Check-In

Seems the best option in the area of Abancay. Everything as stated below, except we had got showers - it just takes time for the hot water to come through.

Report Check-In

Really nice Canp. The Old Lady is so cute even If we don‘t understand her, she tryed her best. Clean Bathroom with cold showers and lots of space. She has 4 Dogs, 2 Alpacas, a few cats and ducks. She show us her Garden and gave us some fruits for the travel. This place is awesome.

Report Check-In

Great place to stop overnight in the way to/from Cusco.

Owners are friendly and they have several dogs, a llama and an alpaca. All very sweet, none of the dogs seemed aggressive. I would probably remove the old warning in the description.

Pool was empty and showers cold when we visited. Probably only maintenance as it wasn’t high season.

Report Check-In

Absolutely great place lovely people.
No troubles with dogs, or Llama.
There is a small zip line and canopy which we could more or less unlimited do by ourselves. The kids had a blast!

Report Check-In

Nice camping between Cusco and Nazca.
Lot of space, showers and a little resto.

Report Check-In

What a lovely place and owners. The old lady gave us a full tour through her fruit plantage. And gave us lots of fruits and vegetables for free. The price is only 20 for a van. Big place everyone will fit. The shower is hot. Even on high pressure. We used the toilet in the shower place. Because the other toilets were a little bit dirty. The baby alpacas and the dogs are lovely.

Report Check-In

Great place between mango- and avocado trees with friendly owners. The facilities and the whole place in general was very clean. The shower was either hot with very little pressure or cold with plenty. The dogs were very cute when we were there, they just wanted to be cuddled. The two young Alpacas were absolutely adorable too. 20 Soles per vehicle is very reasonable.
Highly recommended!

Report Check-In

Ok place. Nice owners and good campground. The dogs were a little bit sketchy and did try to bite me once. Also the toilets have no seats…
Good spot for a night, we changed our plan to stay for a few days and left after one.

Report Check-In

place open with all comodities ans warm welcome off Rina and José and their big sons

recomended for 1 or more nights to have a stop between Cusco and Nazca

Report Check-In

Large grassy area, orchard and fruit plantations, restaurant, bar, toilets, showers, wifi, very hospitable owners and a very good weather to camp before reaching higher in the mountains. Ricardo Peralta provides rafting adventure tours along the area. His family are very friendly and cook a very nice and healthy ‘caldo de gallina’ (chicken soup)

Report Check-In

++ very nice owners. You feel welcome from the very first minute.
+ picnic tables under trees in shade
+ nice settings and nice views to the surrounding mountains
- basic infrastructure, but it seams as if there are in a permanent process of maintaining it.
- next to the street, truck traffic throughout the night
- no mobile Claro reception
We correct the height: from 0 to 2000 m.

Report Check-In

Great place, just beside to the road, clean bathrooms, friendly people. You have to be a dog lover, friendly all of them ❤️ Could be a good idea if you have some repellent, there are some mosquitoes. You will find huge avocado trees, tables ready to use at the bottom of each tree. Could be a good place to stay 2 nights. There is no phone cell connection, no Movistar, neither Claro 🙄 sooo you will relax of the phone 😅 good luck and have fun !!

We love this place we came here in our way to and from cusco. On week days is super quiet. The old lady is lovely and treat us like sons. Of courae the faciliteis are not state of the art but you come here for the nature, resting and be secured. And for that the place is perfect, ine time we arrive late the gate was close but we honk and they open us. :)

Report Check-In

Really great spot!!!! tons of cute little puppies, dogs, kittens and a sheep. Tons of room for all sizes of vehicles. Hopefully you like kids, because they are very excited about you. Bathrooms are clean, and the view is stunning! Total win.

Report Check-In

The family are nice agreed and it's spacious and safe.

The toilets and "kitchen" are horribly dirty, no paper, no toilet seat, can't lock the door.

swimming pool is full of stagnant dirty green water with rubbish floating in it.

it also really frustrates me places that charge per car, not person...since it makes zero sense. I'm on my own, but pay the same as a family of 5?

This place is ok, but certainly not the grassy haven everybody else has made it out to be.

Report Check-In

Lovely spot to stop for the night. Quiet and safe behind a closed gate. We slept 5 in van and tents, grassy and flat with heaps of space. 15 soles in total :)

Report Check-In

Great spot! We arrived on a Sunday and the place was packed, we met some very friendly school children who were super interested in our van. Everyone cleared out by evening. A few other overlanders and some local campers. Clean bathrooms, a nice pool, and beautiful waterfall.

Report Check-In

What a perfect place to split the drive! Jose was so incredibly welcoming and kind. He offered coffee in the morning and liked to chat with us despite our imperfect Spanish. There is road noise and barking dogs, but we were so tired from such a long day it didn’t matter. We were glad to have a safe place off the caraterra and be able to support a nice local family. Highly recommended. 15 soles per car.

Report Check-In

this place worked well for us. we arrived at dusk and told the lady we didnt like dogs and she kept them away from us, although none was menacing towards us. plenty of flat space for camping, nice picnic tables all around. not too much traffic at night plus river covered up some noise. paid 15sols total for family of four. lovely family. was good for the night.

Report Check-In

lugar agradável. sem luz e sem banho quente. Peixe que servem, truta, muito bom. Rafting muito bom para iniciantes

Report Check-In

what a beautiful place!!! the family is soo nice and amable!!! the dogs were really not a problem they dont even noticed us. very relaxed place and if theres so much love arround it doesnt matter when the toilets are not the cleanest. dont miss this beautiful spot!!!

Report Check-In

We love this place and family! No biting dogs (anymore?) only one friendly old dog and a puppy. Nice grass field and fruit trees. Toilet/shower nothing fancy but clean. We eat every day with the family together and give wat we want (donation) when we leave.

Report Check-In

The perfect stop between Cuzco and Nazca - the loveliest family, beautiful setting under the trees and with picnic tables. Oh and friendly dogs. We also paid s/15 for 2 people and a van.

Report Check-In

We had a very nice and quiet night.
The owners are super friendly and so are their dogs. They didn't even bark at night but wanted to play. Loved them.
Bathroom was clean, we didn't try the showers.
Price was 15 for two and the car. Cheap.
Recommended stay on the way between Cusco and Nazca.

Report Check-In

Great place to spend the night with plenty of space. Very kind people and dogs here. We paid 20 for one car and one tent for three people. Enjoyed our time here!

Report Check-In

Place is completely overrun by cats. Freaking awesome. I showed up at dusk, only one here, and Jose split his dinner with me. Going to tip this guy 100% tomorrow.

Maybe not as idyllic as described, but pretty darn close.

Report Check-In

Good place to stop on the loooonnng way from Nasca to Cusco.

Decent place. Nothing special.

Dogs have been no issue (other then they wanted to play all the time)😂

Report Check-In

Valor 15 soles (1 carro / 1 pessoa)

Report Check-In

Friendly campground with toilet, showers, electricity in a nice environment. Grassy place, mountains around. Reasonably well maintained. Water comes high from the mountains and is potable. The swimming pool was empty and being cleaned when we visited. Central barbecue and fireplace. PRN 15 (2 adults, camper)

Report Check-In

Beware of the dog!!! Just bite me!!! People in the campsite are really nice. But when you get bitten, everything looks like crap. Bathrooms were super dirty, site is dirty. Quoting another comment "not as idyllic" as you imagine. Ok for spending the night.

Report Check-In

One of the dogs bite me pretty hard, as I was approaching the house to charge my laptop it was 7:30. They said it has it vaccines, but I will find tomorrow I'm Cusco what to do. Beware special if you travel with kids!!!

Great lovely family. I was cycling from Cusco and after the 56km uphill I was absolutely K.O. They let me camp for free, and invited me for mate and postre :) Stop here of you get a chance, even if just for almuerzo/cena. 5 stars

Report Check-In

ok place, not quite as idyllic as you might expect from the posts below, but an ok night-stop between Cusco & Nasca. Very busy on Saturday night, over 50 tents of local families. Price now 20 soles.

Really nice place to stay! 15 soles per night for 2 persons.
Large grassy field with fruit trees and swimming pool.
A couplet of nice farm animals around. Very friendly family.

Report Check-In

Perfect stop between Cusco and Nazca. The family is really welcoming especially the older lady. Her garden is a gem of fruits, trees and farm animals. There are Picnic tables available. There are now showers (cold water only) and toilets. Unfortunately there was no water the next morning so she could not cook breakfast for us. Only charged 15/s for 3 people and a van. Definitely stop here to help their business, sleep in a safe place and enjoy some Peruvian warm welcome.

Report Check-In

Paid S./15 for two people overnight. They have a restaurant on saturdays and sundays, including Cuy that they raise on the farm. When we got there Sunday at dusk no one was there. Dinner S./7 for fried chicken, potatoes etc. They had a few WWOOFers, so we also had breakfast all together with the family for S./5. Nicest family we met in Peru. Lots of farm animals/family pets that are very affectionate. Only Claro sims work here. We had to check a couple things online, so the family asked the nearby government building(?) if we could use theirs and it was no problem. Some hiking in area. Possible to bathe in the river. Glad we stopped here - the family and animals made it one of our favorite spots in Peru.
