This is just off the Austral, right next to the Rio Ano Nuevo. Basic, no amenities but a fire pit. Views of the river and snowy mountains. Even though close to road, only two cars drove by the entire time we camped. Totally silent at night.

Report Check-InNice sheltered place within metres of the road. No passing traffic once the last ferry departs. Some fire pits and driftwood nearby. Water from river for cooking. Decent spot to break your journey.
Report Check-InA quiet spot by the carretera, but no cars at night when there's no ferry. A little windy, but it's always in one direction along the valley so you can prepare your tent correctly. River water very sandy/muddy.

Report Check-InGreat spot by river. Quiet. We had a small fire. Two cars and some cyclists passed, but otherwise we felt entirely alone. Lovely.

Someone also left a wheel and some blasted out shocks nearby so that might be helpful. Views of the river and snowy mountains. Even though close to road only two cars drove by the entire time we camped. Totally silent at night.
