Description

Campsites near lake, 200 pp. You pay at zoo entrance. Flush toilet with toilet paper, clean facilities, nice and level camp spot directly at the lake. Dog & kids friendly. They do have a checkout time (12pm) which I found a little odd. You buy separate tickets if you want to visit the zoo but you don't have to.
Free internet available at the zoo entrance.

200 pesos per person. We paid in a building opposite the zoo entrance. But you can ask at the zoo entrance. The pitches have been newly renovated with electricity and water. Toilets and showers (warm) are great. A few more trees would do well - too little shade.

New trailer park surrounded by agave plants, water and electricity on site, plus dump station. New sanitary facilities, toilet and shower with hot water. Quiet, depending on wind direction, you can hear the road in the background. We paid 200 pesos per person per night, zoo entrance included.

Powered sites laid out. No shade. Can use WiFi by the cabins but not the pool??? Paid MX $100 pppn, but I think this was a mistake as the owner came by saying 200 but accepted we’d already paid. Clean bathrooms with toilet seats! Hot showers. Some road noise in the background.

I work here and we have a new Trailerpark.

large cars better take the path next to the main entrance (Valle Zoo Cabanas are signposted), about 100m further. The actual camping site is currently being restored. We temporarily got a place next to the turtles on a meadow. The pricing structure is not yet complete. We were supposed to pay 200pp for the meadow parking lot, we were able to negotiate 150pp and reduced zoo admission (50p instead of 150p). There is an indoor shower at the mini golf course, but only droplets of water come out. Toilets are ok. You can hear the main street even at night. At the main crossing you get a taxi collectivo for 30pp, late with a private taxi back 120p, gate is only closed, not locked. Place is ideal if you don't want to struggle through the crowded city.

We styed two nights here. They have a very nice camping area next to two little lakes/lagoons with picnic tables and fire places. We were the only ones at the time. There are bathrooms and showers available to use. They have a side entry which might be better suited for larger vehicles, but we managed to get in through the main entrance as well (getting out is definitely better through side entrance). It is a bit far out of the city - we took our bikes into the city center. But there is a large road close by so it shouldn't be too difficult to catch a collectivo or taxi into town.

I checked the place. Its great. Plenty of space. Toilets and a shower, very basic.
And the entrance you have a decent internet.
(Though I did not stay there because I decided to move on to another city)

Report Check-In

We wanted to stay overnight but we could't because it was closed. We saw a sign where it said that Tuesday is closed. It seems to be the only day of the week that is closed. Just for your
consideration.

Nice place to stay, big area around a lake, shaddy places with picnic tables, toilets and shower at site. A bit pricey $ 200 ppn for two of us.

Excelente lugar, super económico (50 pesos pp) lugar amplio, con área para comer, todo limpio, los anfitriones de lo mejor, 100% recomendado

Great for camping with dogs! Its next to a beautiful little lake, some exotic trees with different fruit (we found jackfruit!) and its a pretty level grass parking area. Clean bathrooms, some picnic tables, bonfires allowed and we could roam around with our pups, they are allowed off-leash. Pretty perfect spot if you dont want to drive into town. And only 50pp, for around here quite cheap.

Vallazoo: realy nice, big grassy area with realy big trees who provide nice shade. Payed 140 per Person, at the zoo entrance, Kids up to six are for free / zoo would be another 90 pesos pp. Mini golf, big slides, tables, shower, walkway around the lake, boat rental. No trash, toilets with seats and paper.

One bungalow (for 6 persons) and campsites available in a zoo. We rented the bungalow for 5 persons. A bathroom and a kitchen in the bungalow. But the bungalow is just on main road so it's not very quiet. Campsites are better near a lake. 660 pesos per night for the bungalow which is very expensive because it was dirty. I don't know what are the amenities for camping.
