Description

Beautifully located campsite, next to the lake, with good protection from the wind (which can be fierce). One of the few places in the national park with lower rates: 600 pesos per person per night. Friendly local owners, with a little shop on site (cold beer!). Only a few km from the starting point of many interesting hikes. It's basic, but there's light, tables, running water, toilets and even a wood-fired warm shower! (From 18.00 - 22.00 hours.) There's also a little restaurant where 'momma' serves the best food (like endless yummie empanadas for 200 pesos).

Latest Check-Ins

We were welcomed by Raúl and Selva, owners and year-round residents. They have a large space, MH on one side and tents on the other, with tables and a fire pit. Rustic, mountain camping. Quincho with fire pit for cooking, washing, sharing. Impeccable bathrooms. Many animals around. Quiet.
When we asked for the price, smiling they told us that we had arrived at the cheapest campsite in Argentina, 2.000pp, children and vehicles do not pay!

We were alone and parked near the house so we had very good wifi signal.

Beautiful view of the lake, black pebble beach, the Lanin is partially visible. But a few kms walk away we took the best pictures.

The restaurant is open 24/7. Local dishes and an incredible view. Don't miss the trout empanadas.

Attention: very hard gravel road, sharp curves uphill and downhill in one lane. Bridges up to 12Ton. Locals and park rangers told us that vehicles larger than our MB1320 pass. From Junín de los Andes it took us 4hs to get there.

Really nice place run by really nice people. Nice views of the vulcano, lake, and other peaks.

Toilets are clean. Shower is an experience with the wood stove that provides the hot water.

Amazing place! One of the most beautiful & for sure the most cheap camping in all Argentina! An awesome place, with a beautiful view over the lake. In the evening you can admire a colorful sunset. Raul is such a kind, friendly & amazing person. He is taking so good care of the camping & only asks 600 pesos (!) pro person. Hot shower in the evening (18:00 - 22:00), Wi-Fi, a small shop where to buy some snacks & drinks.
At the camping there is also a restaurant run by Carmen & Graciela. They cook such amazing homemade food for a little price! Super tasty! (meat, fish & also vegetarian options).
We loved our stay there. If in the park, please support Raul, Carmen & Graciela. They put so much effort in this! 💙

Beautiful campground, loved our stay. There is a new toilet building that was not opened for us but we were the only ones there so the toilet and 1 shower at the restaurant building was just fine. We enjoyed a really hot wood fired shower.
Very quiet and peaceful. We paid 340 pesos for 2 in a truck camper.

Arrived late one evening in October when most other camp sites closed. Great welcome and super friendly host. Stunning views, very peaceful. There’s a restaurant there but probably just open in the summer but we were given fresh bread straight out of the oven in the morning. Great spot!

Nice and basic campground. We preferred it to the "organized" ones earlier because we found a site protected from the fierce wind here. Very nice owner, one hot shower till 10 pm, new baños. We paid 100 Arg$ pppn, the organized ones were 350 Arg$ pppn. Attention: all campsites in this area are part of the PN - entry is 350 Arg$ pp! 37 km before this camping. No credit card, no US$, no €€ accepted! Only effective, so be prepared! Next ATM might be in Junin de Los Andes, 50 km of hard gravel!
