Went there to sleep a night but decided not to stay. This location is the only one accessible by car around the lake. No real flat place to sleep in the car. Also lots of people there at the end of the day. Kind of looks like the sort of place people would go to party. As we went there a Saturday, we decided it would be best to leave if we wanted to rest. But it is a beautiful place.

Pour y accéder : se garer sur un petit parking en terre sur la droite : l'espace est juste de l'autre côté de la route. Nous avons dormis en tente un jeudi soir. Nous avons choisi de nous installer plus en contre-bas, près du lac : le terrain n'est pas plat ! Mais ça été pour une nuit. Des Mexicains ont mis la musique assez forte sur la rive d'en face mais ils ont coupés assez tôt (22h30 environ).

To get there: park on a small dirt parking lot on the right: the space is just across the road. We slept in a tent on a Thursday night. We chose to set up further down, near the lake : the ground is not flat ! But it was fine for one night. Some Mexicans played loud music on the opposite shore, but they cut it off early enough (10:30 pm or so).

Para llegar: aparcar en un pequeño aparcamiento de tierra a la derecha: el espacio está justo al otro lado de la carretera. Dormimos en una tienda de campaña un jueves por la noche. Elegimos instalarnos más abajo, cerca del lago: ¡el terreno no es plano! Pero estaba bien para una noche. Unos mexicanos habían puesto la música bastante alta en la orilla de enfrente, pero la cortaron bastante pronto (a las 22:30 o así).

We slept fridaynight alongside the lake. We pitched the tent. It's allowed. There was music until midnight by other campers. It's possible to fish and to swim. It was very quiet at night and in the morning too (until midday).
The tent was visible from the road and from anywhere else but we felt super safe.

Passing this pin location there is a blue campamento sign on the left. Dirt road down to camping area with parking. Packed dirt right next to the lake. Light traffic while we were here. Felt completely safe.

On tuesday We slept here. We arrived in the afternoon, a child told us carefully on the lake because is deep some areas.
In the afternoon some people came walking around malecon doing excercises. The night was cold and quiet.

El martes dormimos aquí. Llegamos por la tarde, un niño nos dijo con cuidado en el lago porque hay zonas profundas.
Por la tarde vinieron algunas personas caminando por el malecón haciendo ejercicios. La noche fue fría y tranquila.

excelente lugar. pasamos 2 noches muy tranquilas. La luz de la calle es solar y cerca de las 3 am se apagan. El agua del lago es rica incluso en noviembre.

Pasamos una tarde y noche sin problema. Un lugar ideal para estar entre varios viajeros. En la noche las iluminarías se prendieron pero algunas no.
No hay donde comprar suministros. Venir preparados.

Nice place. It was a week day and still a lot of people around (mostly families). Loud music until super late.

We slept here on two occasions. First was weekend, it wasn't crowded, but still some loud music until 4:00am. Second time we slept on opposite side, but the lake was empty and quiet anyway.

nice, well lit place to spend the night. there are a few dirt areas along this road where you can park, and there are signs saying you can camp here. cops came through in the morning patrolling. no bathrooms or any other facilities anywhere around.

we were here on a Sunday night and there were a few groups of locals partying until midnight, then workers showed up around 7am and started running chainsaws and tractors.

other than that, calm throughout the night

we sleep one night there. Good side parking lake. Possible to park 2 or 3 camper. Good place to swimming and fishing. I ask to local people for de security and said me that it was safe. 10 min. drive to the Mission Jalpan.
