Chile
Nice ecoreserve in between two rather busy towns. Kid friendly (swing, slack line, climbing rope) w/ good food and friendly hosts. Its not cheap ($13 USD pp includes nice bonfire & a glass of wine) & I'm sure we could have negotiated a better rate but since some of the $$ goes to support the reserve and we were ready to be done traveling for the day we went with it. Plenty of room to park a big rig if you don't mind a little road noise. Hosts are extremely accommodating and flexible. Speaks English & Spanish.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
As stated. Toilet and shower available. Very friendly people. You can do the nature walk and see many birds! The pitches are pretty small so not for very big rigs. We have truck/camper and that was ok. I think bigger rigs they would accommodate in the parking lot but I don’t think you’d get water and electric but still use the facilities
Report Check-Inexcellent atmosphere, Monica its owner, like the girls who are there, are very attentive, she clarified that we had a problem in our vehicle and she helped us with everything, the walk through the reserve was excellent.
Report Check-InWe stayed here for two nights on our way back to Santiago. The campspots are sandy and close to the road including water and elektricity at sites. There is only one toilet combined with shower (lukewarm water before 10 am and after 8 pm). In terms of amenities the 10.000 pesos per person is a bit much and the road noise is not that idyllic, so bring ear plugs. However, the Humedal Ecoreseve is beautiful and hosts a lot of nice, special birds. We were able to spot the many-coloured rush tyrant. The private to the eco reserve also leads you to the beach. The intern and all dogs are really friendly and the WiFi is good at the reception.
Report Check-InWe drove by and it was closed. Other people who stopped by found out it opens 1st of January.
Report Check-InThey are temporarily closed for renovations but they let us stay, use their kitchen and even turned on the hot water for us so we could shower. The owners were absolutely lovely and shared their wine with us which was very welcomed after a long drive from Santiago. Not sure the date when they reopen so call before going.
Report Check-InVery friendly hosts. We paid 16.000 pesos for two and a van. Two glasses of delicious red wine are included. :) A bit noisy because it’s next to the road. Showers were cold.
