Description

Find something else , the old lady that run the place is very rude and extremely unfriendly they will charge 300 pesos just to park and charge extra for every time you need the bathroom or a shower she is just hungry for money I feel sorry for the poor couple that work there they are so scare of her .
large well kept flatland park with multiple waterfalls. Very remote and quiet, we were the only visitors there for a few days. It cost $30pp(??) to camp plus $50 per car. Bathrooms and cold showers on property but cost extra $5 per bathroom use and $10 for showers. Toilets didn't have water and no electric on property.

On 28/09/2018 we paid $200p

Campfire spots to make fire, guy running the property helped us gather the wood. Beautiful place to camp for a few days.

We didn’t stay there because they wanted to charge us 650 for two adults and we couldn’t park where we want even if there is a very large grassy land.
Also, the lady was not friendly at all.

La jefa was indeed super trooper friendly, she evev has a great humor. We were there for 4 days and had a wonderful time. First night we paid 350 Mex after we told we will stay longer we paid 250 Mex. Arguments we do not use bano or anything else. We highly recommend this place. Wkd very busy.

Beautiful!!! We were the only ones there on a weekday. 50 pesos per person plus 50 to park for the day. Prices for everything except camping are noted on the sign. A really special place.

Hello
We just have a look but it's not good for a RV higher than 3.30 I think.
You can try if you want but some branches are realy low.
They ask 400 for my 26' rv and a family of five.
Nice place near the falls.
And we don't meet the ugly women

The place was beautiful and the guy who welcomed us was very nice. Their prices are not very set though. We paid $300 pesos de first night and $250 the next. 50 pp + RV & overnight fee. The waterfalls were beautiful and even though there were many locals over the weekend, it didn't feel as packed.

Beautiful property. We stayed for 1 week. We camped out at the back near a waterfall. After reading reviews on here we weren't sure if we should try the place, it was the cheapest so we gave it a chance. We are filming a documentary for netflix and this is what saved us from the nasty lady. The little girl translated for us and the price for 2 of us in a campervan was 150pesos per night. We payed for 2 days originally, when the girl came to collect for the next day, the old lady was on the phone saying it would be 250 per night because she didn't charge us right, we said we would take our documentary and leave then, she changed her mind. It stayed 150. Our experience wasnt too bad but we can't say the same for our friends we met. 3 people from Chile showed up the same day as us. They were kicked out the second day. They had moved their tent to the back waterfall by us after the first night. When they went to the front property to ask for the water on in the bathroom and to use the electricity the old lady told them they didn't need it because they moved to the back. They were originally told they had access to it. After an argument, she threatened to call the police. They then moved across the river from us near Trampolin and camped for free. If we didn't have dogs with us and a big campervan we would have stayed there for free as well. Same water access but no mean lady and free camping.

Nice place, especially if you want to enjoy a lonely place with great waterfalls.
We didn’t sleep there, as it’s not accessible for big RV, dirty road to access waterfalls and low trees (if you are higher than 3,40 meters). We slept at the next spot on iOverlander.

Really amazing place to sleep and spend some really good times
But unfriendly owners
They asked 220 pesos for the first two nights and the third they ask 250...
Finally we achieved to pay the good price with the help of friendly Mexican people
But do not miss these place better than tomasopo cascadas

Report Check-In

The place is owned by a foreign couple (weren’t here), it’s basically a big house (private), a shower / toilet block (very basic with cold water, only curtains instead of doors, no TP, bucket flush still under construction it seems...)
The big plus of this place is the cascades you can park right next to!! Large grassy area with turquoise water all around you with nice swimming possibilities.
Prices have been raised it seems as everywhere in Tamasopo... Entry/Day use is 40 Pesos per person and camping initially 200 for the night, were able to negotiate it down to 100 Pesos. The total of 180 Pesos for two is rather expensive but worth the splurge due to the beautiful setting!
Attention: while we were there the lower (and more beautiful) area for camping was only accessible by a short but steep & rocky dirt road!! (A normal RV would not make it)

Arrived here about 7pm. Older guy starting talking to us that the camping is 500 now. We said online the last price was 200 pesos. He didn't wanna go down more then 400 pesos. We sorta felt like he was ripping us off so we decided to leave.

Nice, but odd to place to stay. We can’t really work out what’s going on. They have prices for casas to stay in, but we can’t find any casas?
We were asked to park on the right side of the path opposite the house that the owners/staff live in. It was only after setting up that we read other people’s comments to go past the house and bathrooms to the lower level. Definitely ask to go down there, it’s more secluded and you can camp right by the river.
When I asked how much, he spent a while scratching his head and thinking, he then asked for $250pesos. I asked why it was so much more than what people paid 2 months ago and we settled on $200pesos.
Toilets and showers are not good.
It’s very beautiful setting with tropical plants, rivers and waterfalls all around.
Prior to coming here we visited Puente Del Dios. I wouldn’t bother. It was awful. Coach load after coach load of tourists shipped in. Stands selling stuff everywhere, and the falls in my opinion were unimpressive. They are much nicer at this camp ground and there is no one else here, so you have them all to yourselves. The waterfalls are not high but they are wide and (At this time of year at least) were flowing heavily, they really are very nice.

We really enjoyed this spot and we even hit it during the busy summer months. Lots of room to spread out, big grassy areas, definitely a spot you could stay for a couple of days and chill. The bathrooms/showers (luckily nobody was charging for the bathrooms) don't leave much to be desired but if you can see past that it's nice. One of the best (non beach) campgrounds we've come across in Mexico. It seems the prices have gone up than what previously posted we paid 150 total for camping and entry. We told her we were told it was different but said since its the busy season prices are higher. We stayed two days though and only got charged for one day. They do sell cold drinks and beers also some snacks but best to have your own supplies. So fun exploring all the different swimming holes on the property!

We stayed for two nights. Some potholes on the way in, and the road gets a little bit narrow close to the hacienda, but we did fine with our truckcamper. Price now is 40MP/pp plus 50MP for the car, high season the lady said. Beautiful place, you park right next to some small waterfalls. Quite crowded on weekends but still ok, nobody around on a Sunday morning until 11am. Follow the path to the waterfalls at the end of the property, best place to stay! Nice telcel signal.

Very nice place! We enjoyed our stay so much! We camped right next to amazing crystal clear blue water with nice waterfalls (4-5 on the property).

When we arrived the worker didn’t know about the possibility to stay for the night but after a quick call everything was set. As he knew nothing about overnight parking at this place, he asked us to park just off the right side of the small road on the property near the main building.

Ask if you can drive past the main building, then the baños building and finally past the small bridge, we discovered it was so peaceful there and think it’s better to camp. It’s next to some waterfalls too.

Didn’t try the baños and regaderas.

There is no sign of Hacienda Gomez but you will know you are there when you cross a small bridge with a rope at the end and gorgeous waterfalls at your left. Continue to your left after the bridge to meet someone at the main building. As mentioned, road is narrow and rough but you don’t have long to drive and we had no trouble with our 21ft class C camper.

Nobody there for 3 days! Peaceful and no issue with security. Dogs, horses, turkey and peacocks on the property as well as many fishes in the water!

100 pesos for the camper, 30 pesos for each adult and 20 for each kid (1 yo and up).

One of our favourite camping spots during our visit to the Huasteca.
You can park right next to some beautiful falls and have the whole place to yourself.
It is very quiet, and only very few day visitors during our stay and 1 other rig with a lovely Belgian couple with us at night.
Hector and his wife are in charge here and they were very helpful and even brought us Mexican bananas one morning.
They just warned us not to leave any stuff outside at night (chairs, tables, clothes, etc) as some locals from the nearby town might walk by and take your things if you leave them out unattended.
However, he assured us it is all petty theft and there are no major safety issues - we had no problems at all during our stay.
We paid 110 pesos for 2 people (30 pesos each) and an 18ft motorhome (50 pesos) - larger rigs supposedly pay 100 pesos + number of people.
Bathrooms and showers are separate.
Bit of a narrow road coming in after you go past the previous campground, though most rigs should easily fit.
To find Hector go past the first set of falls and go up the small hill to the large stone house on the right. If you cannot find him there, his phone number is 4821128177.
