Spent 1 night at the airport parking and paid only 2 bols at the entrance. Friendly staff and no noise at all in the evening. After 9pm they turn-off all the airport lights and there's only one guard around.

Just beware that it's a tight fit

Dormimos uma noite muito tranquila aqui. Falamos com a segurança que disse que ia falar com o supervisor para autorizar. Aguardamos e ninguém nos retornou se podíamos. Então ficamos ali.

We slept a very peaceful night here. We spoke to security who said they would speak to the supervisor to authorize it. We waited and no one would give it back to us if we could. So we stayed there.

Report Check-In

We asked some policman, if we could stay the night on the parking. One of them talk with the bos and he said, it‘s not possible, so we left.

en las noches sopla el viento fuertemente y se siente mucho frío

Report Check-In

Good nights sleep. Clean bathrooms. Need to be in by 6:30pm. Night guard was very kind.

Our second night the gate was closed when we arrived at 6pm...but it wasn’t locked so we opened it ourselves, drove in and closed it behind us.

Report Check-In

Free. (We inquired and were told that tourists are not required to pay.) Very friendly and welcoming staff. Juan Carlos no longer works here. Fast wifi. We stayed for two nights. Easy to take the collectivo (much cheaper than taxi) to busy and interesting central plaza in Oruro. Bathroom clean. Totally quiet at night as there are only about two flights per day. No electricity.

Report Check-In

A very decent place in Oruro. Juan Carlos is just a great guy. He welcomed us, explained the rules and even accompanied us when we left for the city to get us settled with a bolivian sim and a basic idea of the city. You park your car in front of the airport (where during our stay even on the weekend wasn't any flights and no traffic at all). The gate is locked during the night from around 6pm but there is a night guard who will pick you up at the gate at any time but you need to be able to call Juan Carlos or arrange a time. You have to arrive in the afternoon, when the gate is open and some airport staff can guide you in. The airport welcomes several overlanders each month and the staff will have an eye on your car. Internet is good and toilet open all night. To reach the city you can take a minibus (Nr. 7 or Nr.12) across the gate for 1.5b or a taxi (15b).

Report Check-In

We arrived at 6 pm and the gate seemed closed, but the padlock was not looked, so we could open the gate.
Quiet and free. Wifi works good.

Report Check-In

Attempted to stay here on 7th Sept but there was no sign of anything being open. We arrived at 6.30pm which was possibly too late but everything was pitch black and there were no gates open anywhere.

Report Check-In

posibly the best place to camp with your vehicle in Bolivia.
- clean bathrooms
- fast wifi
- very kind airport personnel (especially security at night)
- potable water
- all for FREE*
we met Juan Carlos (chief in charge of airport) and he amazed us with his kindness and hospitality. JC and the security staff welcome you to stay as much as you like and use the facilities even at night.
the airport is open daily according to flights (check schedule online), usually on weekdays from 7am to 4pm (although the gate is open till 7pm).
* if you enter around the time there is a flight they’ll charge you 2 Bs. at the entrance (otherwise no one there).
VERY RECOMMENDED

great parking space at the small airport. very nice greeting from the manger he loves when overlander come. Super toilets and drinking water ,highly recommended

Report Check-In

Juan Carlos the airport manager came to us and welcomed us at the airport. Really lovely guy. He knows about iOverlander and asked us to give him a good review ;-)
Allowed us to use bathrooms and refill water at a tap. The only rule is not to drink to much alcohol and have big parties at the parking. Otherwise you have to invite Juan Carlos as well :-)

Very nice, safe and clean place! The best place you can stay in Oruro! In the evening a manager Juan Carlos came to introduce himself as a manager and was asking about our journey and told us that we can stay with some basic rules (don’t drink to much or don’t do to much noise). Also a guard on the evening came to introduce himself that he is a guard and will be there for a night. The wifi works really amazingly and all people are lovely. In the morning you can even buy a coffee in a coffee shop. We felt very welcomed and safe. Toilets are clean and you can use them whenever you like. And also there is non-potable water with which you can refill your tanks for washing dishes and etc. There is also a medic and bomberos. Highly recommended!

Report Check-In

We drove in after 7pm and everything was still open. We paid 2bol (because we are in off season), and discovered a small, clean and very welcoming airport. We stayed in the hall to use their EXTRAORDINARY WiFi and when they closed around 9pm, we went into our van and still had good WiFi. The airport manager came to meet us with the night guardian, said we were welcome, and we could use the toilets during the night. He knows well about IOverlander, and wished us a good trip and said we could stay one more day. Amazing ! Recommended place if you don’t want to park in town and if you want a good WiFi!

Report Check-In

Stayed for one night, free, good wifi, water ok, no eletricity. We were very welcome.

Report Check-In

we stayed here during carneval. the airportmanager welcomed us very friendly. we could stay for free and use the airport WiFi and toilet and fill our water. very friendly staff! the main gate to the airport closes now at 7pm, so we drove out and parked outside the gate and in again in the morning. on saturday it was open all night so we could stay, you have to ask, but dont trust everything. on sunday they told us it would be open all night but it was closed when we came back, so we entered through a hole in the gate we found. all in all a very comfortable and quiet place to stay we can recommend.

Report Check-In

Eccellent place, Nice bathrooms with paper, free Wi-Fi and free water. Even had the doctor see us for free! We stayed here for almost a week waiting for Carnival. Awesome.

Report Check-In

We arrived at 16:30 and airport was closed, the guard would not let us in. But seems a nice and very safe place to stay!

Report Check-In

Great place to stay! The airport personnel and especially Juan Carlos, the airport manager, are very welcoming and helpful! It's a quit place since there's on average only one flight a day. At night you have a great view on Oruro. Also very easy to go to town from here by taxi (or minibus if you like that). Absolutely recommend this place! Apart from toilets there are no other facilities.

Report Check-In

To enter the area of the airport, we had to pay 2 Bs. Once parked, the airport manager himself came to say hello, offered us the use of the airport facilities as long as the doors are open - free of charge. What else can one ask for?

Report Check-In

Very friendly staff told us that we can stay for one night or more and that there is no fee! WIFI very fast.

The gate is apparently closed but you can ask to a worker to go in and you just have to close it back. The airforce are just behind !!! No risk 👌
