Description

There are two ways to visit the waterfall, this one is the so-called ‘Ecuadorean’ side. This path is the best option to reach the waterfall. A good trail goes down to the entrance. Entrance costs $3 for adults and $2 for children aged 5 to 11. There you continue up on steps, to different balconies, halfway to the huge waterfall. At the opposite of the first balcony you can enter a small tunnel, that brings you to the side of the waterfall. Be prepared for a shower. Once back at the entrance, you go down and can cross a hanging bridge. From the other side the complete waterfall is visible. It’s amazing, worth the money! The other path makes you only to the top of the waterfall, where you cannot see the complete falls. Also there you cross hanging bridges, and go close to the falls. But there is no way down. It’s organised by another company, so if you want to do both, you pay twice.

Very nice waterfall, allow about 1.5 hours of visit. Entrance costs $ 3 for adults and $ 2 for children aged 5 to 11. The paths are well laid out, to access the closest of the waterfall, it is nevertheless necessary to contort in a small "tunnel". The path even goes behind the waterfall for those who are not afraid to get wet.

We came in the rainy season and the waterfall was a massive beast. You can still get under it but instead of a gentle wash, you get powerwashed!

The price is $3 since October 2023.

We were here a little before 8 o’clock in the morning and were allowed in as the first ones. Had everything for ourselves for a couple of minutes.

Here is the secondary entrance to the Waterfall, the best one during the day. 2 US$ p/p and you can have a free shower at the end!!

Beautiful spot! We were able to bring our dog even. There is one spot that was hard for the pup with wet, scrambling rocks but it’s at the end and I was able to lift her up.

Awesome waterfall! Walking entrance is going down through the artesanía stalls. Now $2 pp, still $1 for parking. Take your rain jacket! We got soaked lol At this entrance you can go behind the waterfall, only one suspension bridge though, still really good views. You’ll have to pay another $2 if you go to the other entrance as well.

Nice place, really well maintained! You paid the entrance at the bottom of the waterfall. There is a small cafe, restaurant at the waterfall and some other small snack/juice on the way, with the traditional souvenirs shop.
