Description

A big local picnic area 10 km before Puerto Natales. It is a big area with trees and bushes, highly recommended for tents and campers. Quite at night and good shelter from the wind. There is a entry road in the intersection of road 250 and 9. Driving from the border (Dorotea) towards Puerto Natales, you will see the entry road (gravel) straight across in the intersection.
There is also another entry road about 200 meter down the road towards Puerto Natales. 2wd no problem.

Latest Check-Ins

Ist okay für eine Nacht. Die Straßengeräusche sind nicht extrem.

Report Check-In

Even with the bushes around it was still very windy. There's a small creek if you follow the car track toward north about 100m.

Report Check-In

Wide open space not very protected from wind, not a lot of trees. When we got here it was a bit difficult to drive around because there were a lot of potholes. But overall it's good for a night. We were with a motorhome and a tent.

Report Check-In

It's not an official picnic area, just a big space where people built fire pits and that is used for camping. It's very big and perfect for tents and any type of vehicles. there's some trees and bushes to give you some wind protection. Distant enough from the road, there's some trash around, mostly glass bottle so be careful.
We were the only ones at this spot but it was a rainy Monday night, I imagine locals use it fr partying in summer time

Report Check-In

Relatively quiet place on a hill, perfect for one night. No facilities. No one else there. Bit of trash lying around. If it’s clear you can enjoy a nice sunset over Puerto Natales.

Report Check-In

Local picnic area but without tables. Lots of small trees for wind shelter. During the day, 2 persons were driving moto cross, but they left before 8pm. No facilities.

Report Check-In

As mentioned below, big place with enough trees to shelter from the wind. Unfortunately when we were there (sunday evening), there was noise until 6AM. Most groups left around midnight so we fell asleep quietly. A new group arrived around 1AM, started a bonfire and blasted loud music until early in the morning. Wouldn't recommend the place in the weekend or during holiday period.

Report Check-In

we tried to get on but big amounts of deep poules from the rain blocked the roads. so we slept at the quarry a little back.

Report Check-In

Good place just out of the town. Unfortunately it is filled with trash. The worst I have seen in Chile.

Report Check-In

Good large area to stay. Visible from the road and not much wind protection but still decent.
