Camping Playa Hermosa | Established Campground

Drove past the camp today and there was only a closed ramp, so we also think it's closed.

Tried to stay at this campground today. It was closed, nobody around, even being the day after an extended holiday (All Saint's holiday in Nov 1st). Tried another campground around, also closed. Headed to Los Angeles, 35km ahead.

One of the few places we could find that seemed to be open. The campsite near the river is beautiful under the trees and so peaceful as we had the whole place to ourselves. Bathrooms had been shut all winter so there was no hot water and they were a bit scary but we were fine with that. The lady running the place was so lovely and gave us the option of camping near a cabana and using the bathrooms there, but we preferred the river (and the price - 5,000 pp). She also gave us fresh German-style bread and some of their own farm eggs for our brekky which was really lovely.

The only place we could find that would accept camping at this time of year. We were able to pitch our tent on the porch of a cabana so we had some shelter and were able to use the bathroom which had a nice hot shower. No wifi. 6000pppn.

Basic camping, near river bed, 4000 CLP pp but negociated 3000 CLP pp. Poor facilities, ok for 1 night

Nice campground with a black sand beach near Salto de Laja. 10.000 for two, a dog and a van. very few people (march 5) all services working. poor electric installation, but works. lots of shade. you can rent cabañas in the front part of the camping. little shop inside,today closed.
