Update August 2019: no overnight parking or camping allowed - police officer told us to leave.
We spent 1 night with our van and camper trailer. Just beside the river. In the morning (Sunday, 8am) therewere some fishermen! There is no sign about camping... overnight. It was just ok for us before heading to Weeki Wachee state park... and his mermaids!!! :-) There are picnic tables.

Report Check-InNo overnight parking or camping allowed! Police officer came at midnight and told us we cannot stay as the park is closed at night. There is a part of the park in front of the gates where others have been staying but he said it is still part of the park and therefore it is closed at night and you are not allowed to stay!
Report Check-InVery nice spot, can choose to camp under a streetlight or in a darker spot. The park is a really good place to stay for a day, it is really beautiful. Has toilets and cold showers. It closes after sunset. During the weekends this is a spot where local youth hangs out, they didn't make a lot of noise and left quite early.
Report Check-InSpent 2 nights here. As Sandrine said. Close to a nice river. Fisherman in the day. Pic-nic tables with roof. Drinkable water close to the Observatory tower. We spent one full day here biking and hicking. Birds watching. Bring your bug spray if no wind. Free camping. No signs of interdiction here.
On a passé 2 nuits ici. Comme Sandrine a écrit. Près d'une rivière calme. Pêcheurs durant le jour. Tables de pic-nic avec toît. Fontaine d'eau potable près de la tour d'observation. On a passé toute la journée à faire du vélo et marcher. (et fixer des trucs sur le VR) On est sur le gazon. Chasse moustiques et serpentins verts en absence de vent. Observation d'oiseaux ! Camping gratuit. Aucune signalisation d'interdiction ici. Il y en a dans d'autres stationnement autour.
