Description

At the corner of 20 de Mayo, a block east of the PanAm.

The Residencial Panamericano is a hotel with parking lot where overlanders are welcome to park and stay in their vehicle for the night (20 bolivianos). Rooms are 25 bolivianos per single bed (50 double, 75 triple).

There is a rustic shower, not great, but hot water & ok pressure.

Not many ammenities, but there are toilets and drinking water.

Latest Check-Ins

Good and safe place to stay overnight in the vehicle. It's just a dusty courtyard with high walls, but it's quiet and there is a possibility to connect the vehicle to the electric power if you have your own power cable.
Fast internet on site.
We paid 20 bol including electricity and wifi.

The location now is correctly marked.
The place is in our eyes for emergency situations only. We were to late when crossing from Argentina to Bolivia to reach Tupiza before sunset.
All you get at this place is a rundown but secure parking space. In our case there was no running water until the next noon. So no toilet flush and no showers but still the price of BOL10 pP (which is really not too much). But even with running water this place wouldn't be very appealing.

Report Check-In

We don't recommend this place unless you have no other choice. Place is dirty and noisy, when we arrived and asked to see a double room they told us it would be free at 4pm, when we came back after a walk in town at 7pm it was still not free. Eventually we spent the night in our van in their parking for 30 bob. They told us we could shower for 10bob but the place looked like a murder scene, with electrical wires hanging above the shower. There was no running water at the time we were there, couldn't even wash our hands! Only positive point is that the parking is secured.

A fair place to get chores done after crossing into Bolivia. 20 *bobs* for camping in our van in the back lot, 10 per shower (hot & ok pressure). La dueña can do your laundry for 15 bobs per dozen pieces of clothes (out of 4 dozen, a few weren't up to par and she fairly deducted them from our total.)

Location is not exact (just from memory). ask locals for directions. This is a well known place on the town.

The Residencial Panamericano is a hotel with parking lot where overlanders are welcome to park and stay on their vehicle for the night (10 bolivianos). Rooms are 15 bolivianos.

We arrived here after asking if we could park on the area next to Villazon's YPFB petrol station but they told us to leave and called the police. The police disrecommended us to park on the area for the night, given the amount of drunken people (this was during carnival, it may be different on different dates).

There were showers but not great.

The entrance is narrow and the street not really wide, but after a couple of tries we managed to park our 7.3mx2.35m motorhome.

Not many ammenities, but there are toilets and drinking water.
