Something not right?

Description

Cracked my sump on BMW motorcycle. Was directed here. They found some good quality GTX oil and sorted the crack out. Needed an oil change anyway. Very expensive though.

Went there because most reviews said he was a good mechanic, although expensive.

His "employees" changed a bushing (30 minutes) and as it was quite fast, I let him proceed to change my CV joint because it was leaking.

After hours to dissasemble the front hub, he took off to find the part. He returned with a genuine sealee Toyota hub seal kit so I was quite happy.
He then took off again somewhere and after a while, I see him and his "employees" fitting a completely different kit. It had already been opened a while ago and was all dusty and looking very bad. It really upset me so I told me and he said "the original doesn't fit" and blablabla. I had no choice but to let him proceed and finish the job... After 7 hours, I try the car and I hear weird noises so I returned to the garage straight away. He says it's nothing. I see him unbolt my wheel and put Teflon tape on my front axle hub (between the hub and the cap) which is not something you should do ever.... Anyway, we decide to give up and leave with my wife and now we have this annoying sound coming from the front of the vehicle. I also asked him twice if a wheel alignment would be necessary after this job (you have to disconnect swivel arms) and he said absolutely not.
Conclusion, my steering wheel needs to be at 2 o'clock for my car to go straight.

It is a disaster and I am so mad at myself for trusting this guy with my Cruiser.

He charged me 1000 DHR for the 30 minutes job to change the bushing and 2800 for the CV joint...

Thats 350 euros completely wasted as I will have to redo everything in a proper workshop as soon as I leave Morocco.

I asked him for pricing at least 20 times and he refused to answer, giving me vague answers.

To avoid at all cost.

We made a repair in the workshop, we had already done a similar repair in Spain. In Spain it cost €190 here 2800Dh. he deceived us, he said he had the original part and it was a lie, he took the one from another car and coupled it. site not recommended

Report Check-In

our car was too low and we needed to adjust the height. we immediately got helped and the guy checked. the guy did his best to find parts so he went around to see for parts and managed to find 2 longer spiral springs. his colleagues helped out and they were finished in 2 hours. really fast and they know what they are doing. one thing, do ask for the price before he starts doing the job, just to make sure you both are on the same page
