Description

This is the Desert Park Natural Reserve. If you are coming East from Cabo San Lucas it’s on the right at an arroyo. If you’re coming from Cabo San Jose you have to make a u turn to get here, then turn right at the arroyo. There are condominiums on one side of the reserve and a hotel on the other.
*Be careful for cockroaches.

Latest Check-Ins

It’s totally fine, even has some portable toilets. Lots of locals drinking beer, someone selling coconuts for 80MXN.

Add on to my message yesterday - beautiful beach, great seafood, but they warn you not to swim because of under currents.

Report Check-In

Great hidden spot!
Seafood restaurant 11-6pm, massage 9-6pm, no idea on the horse riding but a delightful beach (watch out for the horse poop).

Report Check-In

2x4, stay up near the road. you can make it easily down at the right, but TONS of cockroaches come out at night near the bushes and the water stream... we ended up leaving for Boca del Tule (3 km further west) and it's much better!

4x4, if you head left when you arrive down near the beach, no water stream, no bushes, we didnt see any cockroaches there, but wouldn't risk the drive in soft sand

I came from the highway on the by bicycle and tent and slept very well. Some hobbyist fishermen came already at 530am but friendly and we had a chat later. I don’t know during the day but felt quite safe. Family did a fire the night before till late. Did see no horses but pelicans.

I stayed here from Dec 7-11, 2022. Most of the Dream Cabo San Lucas resort day workers and vendors park here. it's not crowded and very quiet area. local fishermen come here and fish. My son and daughter in law were on vacation and staying at Dreams. I would get a US $100 pass and visit them from 9:00-6;00 pm. The night pass is US $120 from 5 -11 pm. You can get the pass at the front desk or tell the security guys that you need to go to the front desk to get the pass. A couple of days ago, I parked right in the sandy area. Only park if the locals are parking here. You will need 4x4 to get on sand. you can park against Dreams fence. if you come during the day, this area may be taken by workers. No 4x4 is needed here. On the beach, you can access Dreams Internet if you have a password. My children provided that.
Used inflatable kayak to get in Ocean, getting in a piece of cake. disembarking is very, very difficult. I was not expected in wave disembarking, so kayak capsized. Life vest saved me. long rope tied to kayak and local fisherman help me save the kayak. Big under current here. Only experienced kayaker. Do not take phones or other stuff. it can get washed away if you fall.

Big parking lot and no one using it!!! We parked near the massage tent beside the hotel on the right. Awesome music playing until 11pm, starting back up in the morning. Not too loud. Gorgeous beach!!! No one bothered us but there seemed to be a beach garbage cleaner using his 4x4 all night! We aren’t picky for free camping. Felt semi safe with the resort balconies overlooking us and all the lights on. Porta potty had a lock on it.

Report Check-In

Not the best place but ok for 1 night. Good telcel & AT&T service.

Report Check-In

We came here several times, although the first time we couldn't find the entrance (it's easier to miss when you're coming from San Jose). It's kinda squeezed in between a big hotel and a housing complex.

Very safe and much calmer than Tule and actually any other overlander spot around. There's plenty of place for everybody, big rigs too. There are horses coming to the beach daily and they are very picturesque to watch with the sunset. There is also a fireworks show almost every night from the nearby hotels.

Overall nice for a few days. Decent Movistar and good Telcel signal.

added entrance and access pics, road decent, soft sand at the end

Report Check-In

Stayed three nights. Rather quite. A few locals during the day then we had it to ourselves.

Pros- nice beach, guys with horse back rides right there, massage tent there as well.

Cons- horse poo on beach, lights at night from near by hotels.

Report Check-In

Belle place pour la nuit, tranquille. Attention au sable mou par endroit

Report Check-In

Safe & nice place to park in Cabo! The hotel next door has really bright lights so make sure you have window covers! Over than that great place to stay if you are planning on exploring Cabo or San Jose!! Massage tent and local horseback ride tours offered on this beach as well!

the most peaceful spot we had found in all of cabo. we spent 4 nights here and it was amazing! the sand is soft and the water is clear and WARM. we saw 2 huge groups of Mobula rays (i was told that’s what they were called) jumping up out of the water, it was awesome! the entrance is a dirt road right after the gated hotel entrance, it’s easy to miss if your driving in the dark and haven’t been here before. be careful where you park if you don’t have 4x4, we helped an overlander get unstuck from the “parking area” so just walk around and check it out before you try to drive in certain spots. there was also this homeless lady that came to our van and the two other rigs we were camping with saying we had “really good vibes” then asked for clothes, or food, and to come chill in our van. which we were happy to help her with a long sleeve we were planning on getting rid of anyways, but after that first time she came around, she came around every night after that, which it was just annoying after 2-3 nights. so watch out for her 😂 other than that i definitely recommend this place!!

Stayed here a few weeks ago and it worked out well; quiet, easy beach access, flat, and close to town, so we decided to come back and stay here again today when we happened to be visiting friends nearby. Not nearly as awesome as our favorite spot just outside town on East Capw Way, but this will do for one night!

Report Check-In

Perfect beach campsite! We came down here to drop a friend off at the airport, and this is the perfect place to stay nearby!

23’ Class A. 4 Nights. Love this spot. FREE. Please keep beach clean. Spotty cell service. Got an Uber from here to a restaurant and back. No amenities. Didn’t try the sneak over to use pool & outdoor showers. But many others did. Sea water was cool & wonderful. Crystal clear. Could see whales from shore.

Report Check-In

Safe place to spend a night by the beach alongside ritzy resorts. Some flies and horse poop. Portapottie still locked at this time.

Report Check-In

Out all the iOverlander spots in Cabo this is your best bet! Was super quiet at night and we ended up going to the villas on left to swim in the pool and jacuzzi at night. They even have an outdoor shower right by the beach!

Report Check-In

Stayed here for a couple nights, decent beach to go swimming in, felt fairly safe. There are garbage cans so you can dispose of your trash. Porta potty now has a lock on it so no toilets. Don’t try to drive on the beach unless you have 4wd and wide tires. I got stuck even with my tires aired down to 12psi

Must have missed the quiet part... hotel next door had really loud music until late hours of the night... forget having a window open....
beautiful sunset at the beach though.

Report Check-In

Stayed here two separate times, for a couple nights each time. Arrived late and left by mid morning each time. No one bothered us. Easy and quick access. We were the only rv but saw a few other cars were parked on the beach in the morning for the massage tables and the guy doing horseback tours. Very quiet and felt very safe.

Report Check-In

Just as described. Very quiet after the beautiful sounds of the wedding we’re done. A couple people coming in and out to fish, but no problem. We stayed in our E-350 on the soft sand and our friends parked their motorcycles and slept outside. Slept with the van doors open. Felt safe!

This is definitely the best spot near Cabo San Jose out of all the spots on iOverlander. We went to Costa Azul to surf, loud music was throughout the night, it’s got loud highway sounds and the police are always right there. The marina spot was very packed & we don’t like to stay in parking lots (behind the supermarket etc)

This spot is rad. Easy access on a sandy road that’s very hard packed. Nice clean beach. Fisherman in the mornings and evenings. The hotel is super nice so there are often weddings that have music playing until 9pm or so. We saw fireworks a handful of nights. The jet ski rental guy is super nice and inviting, we gave him a beer. We only planned on a night here but ended up continuously coming back each evening for almost two weeks worth of adventures. Definitely go into San Jose and do the art walks on Thursday nights and the organic market on Sundays. Very enjoyable, we loved it here. 3G cell service is 3 out of 4 bars with ATT international.

Report Check-In

Good spot it’s a big beach with parking spots to sleep for the night. Ports potti too. If your coming from Cabo San Lucas it’s on the right at a little dirt turn off with a bunch of school busses. If you’re coming from Cabo San Jose you have to make a u turn to get in here right by a massive hotel. You can poach the hot tubs if stealthy enough. Don’t be fooled by the cool guy with a straw hat...he’s the security guard. Enjoy!
