Description

!! No tour at the moment (Updated in January 2022) !!

An organic cacao farm. Manolo, the son of the owners, speaks enough English to make the tours very informative (MEX$ 75 to 150 per person depending on the length of the tour). There is even a pack of howler monkeys living on the premises.
We spent a night there after being sent away at Alberca La Cascada. They accept campers to overnight on their grounds. There are clean restrooms and a kitchen where you can cook and sit but no showers and no hookups. There’s a gate (might be almost 4m high) but we didn’t check if big rigs could pass. It’s close to a busy road so it doesn’t get really quiet. MEX$ 230 for 2 people in a van.

we stayed for the night. there is a place for vans , big rig, tents, no problem. we used the outside kitchen that was basic and great. clean toilet and cold shower was also great.
lots of mosquitos, make sure you come with spray and net for sleeping, Mexican net otherwise in the regular net the musquito pass in. also it's on the highway so there is cars passing at night.

in the morning we had breakfast with the family (it was Sunday)and than went together with Manuel and his wife to there plantation (which is a small jungle), we had a Chacuate making on the fire and set together to drink it. great conversations ! we also had a small walking in their jungle together.

Really cool tour and we got to make a small amount of chocolate. Very informative tour.
Also really really good chocolate.

We stayed the night and the family chat with us for a few hours in the evening and in the morning. Super awesome people!

Paid 200 to camp. 200 for tour and bought reasonably priced chocolate. Didn’t try for lower price as we felt it inappropriate to haggle to stay on someone’s property.
Clean bathroom and they offered us use of their shower.
Highly recommend

This is a very friendly family business, who books the Cacao Tour is welcome to stay. Manolo, makes the tour very interesting and in English, the finca is in a beautiful garden, there are toilets and an outdoor kitchen. The gate is also suitable for big rigs. We paid 300 pesos for the tour and overnight in low season for 2 people. the chocolate is delicious.

We spent a night there after being sent away at Alberca La Cascada. It seemed to be the first time they accepted campers to overnight on their grounds. There are clean restrooms and a kitchen where you can cook and sit but no showers and no hookups. Didn’t ask for WIFI. There’s a gate but we didn’t check if big rigs could pass. It’s close to a busy road so it doesn’t get really quiet. We paid MEX$ 200 for 2 people in a camper (didn’t ask beforehand and didn’t bargain).
