Lots of free camp options for tents or vans. From Guanaqueros, climb the big hill in back of town then follow dirt roads around to the right side of the hill. You'll be stuck between fences for a while, but eventually they end and you can pull off wherever you'd like. Nice views of sunset. Some houses or cabanas down on the beach below, but saw no one all night and morning.

We tried to get here too, but yeah the fence is in the way. A gate was opened and we could have driven here, but I feel uncomfortable driving to possible private property. We instead slept by the gate on the road. Very quiet, I think this particular road only services two houses.
