Latest Check-Ins

Confirmed! Slept here one night with no issues. I even got here around 5pm and stayed for the night.

Report Check-In

Little pull off nook looking over Thors Well. There were about 5 cars parked there with no issue aside from the noise from the 101 if you can bare that. It's a 5 minute drive to town if you need supplies. Felt safe parking there as we were about 30-40 ft away from the shoulder of the 101. Cell cervice was decent from verizon. Was able to stream movies from our rig.

Report Check-In

We were 6 RVs that night. Beautiful view and quiet at night. Strong smell of urine though...

Report Check-In

Wanted to stay at the spot a little up the road, because it had a little more privacy, but honestly, you can't beat the views at this one! Really nice to be able to get up and walk right out to Thors Well. Stayed one night. A few other cars were there as well. Like others said, there is road noise, since it's right off the highway, but not too bad

Report Check-In

Perfect spot to spend the night. 1 other Large RV and a car spent the night. We parked our 170 sprinter paralell along the curb. (beware the curb is quite tall). road noise was not bad at all. easily drowned out by the waves and thundering booms from water in the devils churn. very cool spot. perfect for when all the campgrounds are full.

Report Check-In

stayed here two nights (1-3 other vehicles stayed, too). prime view of the ocean! it’s directly off of the road, so you will hear plenty of road noise during the day, but at night it was quiet, only the sound of the waves. you are in walking distance to the whole Cape Perpetua trail system! the visitor center is in walking distance, or a 1 minute drive down the road. definitely check it out (10am-4pm daily)— it’s an awesome spot, with indoor viewing of the ocean, comfy seats, tons of information about the ecosystem here (great for a rainy morning activity). bathrooms and water bottle fill station are available outside of the visitor center. also recommend driving 2 miles south to Strawberry Hill for low tide. (some verizon, no at&t)

Report Check-In

Slept here one night no problem. Large pullout m right on the road, but also right at the ocean. Was nice to hear the waves through the night and the road quiets down. One other van parked for the night. Easy little spot.

Report Check-In

Great stay. No one bothered us, traffic is chill at night. Couple other vans with us through out the night. Thor’s well too!

Report Check-In

wonderful spot. the views are amazing and wasn't bothered at all. no "no" signs as of now still.

Report Check-In

stayed the night here and then walked down to Thor's Well in the morning. Fairly level, no problems.

Report Check-In

As previously described and still open. Close to road with its noise. Views are great but you cannot see it from your car due to a wall. But if you get out you can looks over the wall.
Cell reception was very bad for me. One bar, but didn’t really work unless you walk towards the ocean.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night. Was about 5 other campers and had no issues. Great to be able to walk around the coast in the morning, but right on the road. One bar Verizon, not great signal.

Report Check-In

Right on the ocean! Wonderful view, we were three vans overnight, with about 10 spaces in total. Winds very strong during the night, though.

Report Check-In

As described by others, this is a great spot to spend the night. We enjoyed ourselves in this area so much that we decided to spend a second night in the same site. there is some road noise at night, but it didn't disturb our sleep very much.

Report Check-In

Slept here for one night. It’s a viewpoint and trail head right off the road so there’s road noise. Not bothered by anyone and there were a few other vans and cars in the parking lot.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night. 3-4 other van campers. Quiet night. Stunning views. Wasn’t bothered at all. Would definitely sleep here again!

Report Check-In

Not bad. We were going to stay overnight but it was just too busy. I honestly wouldn't camp here unless I rolled in late, past 9.

Report Check-In

Great spot for the night. Next to the road but the noise didn’t bother me. The view is beautiful and ground was flat. There are more spots ahead of where I parked in the lot. I stayed here so I could long lead the pups if they needed to go out at night.

Report Check-In

Cool place to see (and hear) water hit rocks in neat ways. Parking is right off the highway in a nice long stretch, you’ll hear cars passing.
I got here early in the evening. Most people left after 9pm (sunset), then it was just a couple people staying the night.

Report Check-In

We were the only people camped here overnight, but as others have said, there’s no sign prohibiting camping and we weren’t disturbed. Beautiful view and nice little walk down to Thor’s Well. Road noise picked up a bit in the morning, but didn’t notice it at all in the nighttime and didn’t affect our sleep!

Report Check-In

Thor’s Well pullout area is level and you can parallel park or straight in park. Great view from parking and the trail here does a .4 mile loop with another larger trail system connecting to it. Verizon LTE 2-3 bars.

Report Check-In

Enough space for a few vehicles, but quite close to the road with traffic all night long. Too loud for me, wouldn’t stay again, even though the view is gorgeous.

Report Check-In

Got there late In the night, alot of pull offs along the cape perpetua area, felt very safe. A lot is still closed due to Covid-19. So if you need a bathroom be comfortable peeing on the side of the rode for drive up to the day use area for a pit toilet.

Heard the traffic go by and the waves crashing through the night. Would stay again!
No phone service(sprint)

Report Check-In

A wide pull out right on the highway, but worth every bit of traffic noise you might hear during the night.

Report Check-In

Great spot right above Thor’s well! Quiet at night a great spot overlooking the ocean!

Report Check-In

In the late summer there seemed to be more traffic than the other reviews stated. It was mostly quiet from midnight to 6am. The space is right off the road. Though we hung out at a beautiful ocean front park and just came here to spend the night. The Oregon State Parks we checked out all stated no overnight parking, though this location didn’t say state park and still had no signage to prohibit overnight parking.

Report Check-In

Great spot for a night, some traffic earlier in the night but died down later. No no signs, level parking lot.

Report Check-In
