Because of spring break, all campgrounds in the Big Bend NP were full. Around 9 miles before the park entrance, we found this campground. It’s huge, especially for primitive camping.
We paid for an electric site (without water) 20.-. With water, it’s 22.-.
The primitive sites are also 20.- and you don’t have a toilet or shower nearby, but you’re in the pure nature.
The toilets and showers are at the store/reception.
It was very quiet at night and we‘ve seen a clear sky with hundreds of stars.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

As people have written. Quiet setting. RV site booked with electricity and water. This is a very old and tired place. The campground is a gravel parking lot. no firepit or picnic tables. There are a couple if picnic tables under a sun canopy located centrally. The office/store has wifii which works but very small bandwidth, snd slow. $34 for our site.
Report Check-InWe stayed one night in an almost deserted RV Park.
Place 75 - RV 37ft + Towed car = $ 28 directly at the reception for a place with water and electricity but no drain. There is a dump station at the entrance of the camp.
The setting is superb. We have an extraordinary view of the surroundings. On the other hand very exposed to the wind.
During our stay (1 night) the wind blew violently all night it was very impressive and sometimes worrying.
the dry or primitive camping is now $20, not $10. You are better off paying $5 more to get electricity and water, especially on a hot day
Report Check-InNo its 25$. We stayed one night because the visitor center at the entrance of the park was already closed at 4 p.m. Therefore we couldn't ask for dispersed caming in the park.
