Spent a week in the beautiful big garden with green gras. Perfect shower and toilet. Kitchen. Pool Shady shed with barbaque. Good drinking water and we won’t forget Christian. He is a very friendly and helpful guy very experienced going off-road in this region. If you arrive on the coordinates and you see befind the fence a beautiful house and garden, don’t hesitate, you are right! It is worth to stay some days and rest!

This is a great place to stay. 1,5km easy walk to downtown La Falda where you have groceries and restaurants etc ..
Nice clean bathroom and shower. Dish washing area, quincho where you can order a real Argentinian asado when the owner is around.
Beautiful view, super quiet; 4 nice dogs on the property.
Swimming pool in the season and you can do your laundry at the owners house.

Christian has created a beautiful place for overlanders to get together and take a break from traveling. Note that it's not an official and public campsite, so best to drop him a WhatsApp before arriving.

It's an amazing campground and Christian, the owner, is super friendly and very helpful. We planned to stay 2 nights, but ended up staying a week with some other Overlanders. This is really the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the big garden, pool, several asados, very clean toilet and hot shower, hiking and biking trails nearby, ... although the price is a bit high (USD 15) for this area, I would highly recommend this place, it's totally worth it!

Consigliati da altri Overlander olandesi, abbiamo scoperto questo posto a pochi km da Villa Carlos Paz, situato in una valle molto turistica. Offre un bellissimo parco verde lontano dalla confusione, quincho e bagni con acqua calda. Il proprietario, Christian, esperto di viaggi, è molto accogliente e disponibile a consigli di percorso e logistici. Assolutamente consigliato sia venendo da Nord che da Sud per più giorni per riposarsi e ricaricarsi. Il centro città è raggiungibile anche a piedi con tutti i servizi. Non vediamo già l’ora di poterci tornare!

This is a beautiful place to stay and relax. The owner Walter likes to meet Overlander and is an excellent host. Walter also organizes expeditions for different groups and therefore knows Argentina and neighboring countries very well. Walter likes to share his knowledge and likes to give tips. Walter is happy to help with problems with the car and mediates reliable mechanics. Anyone who loves dogs feels comfortable here. 4 friendly 4-legged friends, like to accompany you on walks in the surrounding hills. In short, a place you like to come back to. Also at Walter’s place you can do your laundry, which is a bonus every Overlander likes. 5 Stars for Walter lovely place and service.

L'endroit est agréable au dessus de la ville au calme. L'accueil de Walter très amical et intéressant. C'est un atout majeur de rencontrer Walter quand on est Overlander en Amérique du Sud car il connaît très bien la région pour y voyager depuis longtemps, possède de très bonnes adresses de tout ce dont on a besoin pour le voyage, notamment pour la mécanique, le bricolage et l'administratif et bien autre encore. On reviendra, c'est sûr !

Very nice place for overlander.
Nice Owner, 3 very nice dogs and a very nice pool.
Walter is an English, German, French, Spanish speaking 4x4 Tourist Guide with profound geological, volcanologic, biological and arqaeological background. He gave us a lot of tipps for our trip through Argentina.
We were here two times and we would like to come back.

Excellent place to get out of the heat and great views over the city. Christian/Walter (same person!) is kind and loves to receive fellow overlanders. We loved his yard with lots of green grass and refreshing pool. $15pp and he accepts USD, Argentine pesos (at current blue rate), and Chilean pesos. Got to try his eggplant lasagna, which was mind-blowing. Good WIFI. Potable water. Clean bathrooms and hot water shower.

There are 4 dogs on site. And while they are individually super friendly, they can get a bit overwhelming when together in a group. If traveling with a dog or cat, it’s good to be cautious. But we’d stay here again regardless!

Beautiful place to stay some days and enjoy La Falda and the surrounding Sierra. The view is amazing especially while sunset.
The owner Christian is friendly and helps where he can.
Absolutely Recommendable!!!

Very good location, within walking distance to the nice city (1.4 km)
Christian is a helpful host with a lot of knowledge, which is shared with us. He also prepared delicious asados for us and made the evenig special to us, even with a small Christmas present

We had a beautiful stay at Chingolito and everything was fine. A very nice place for a stop in La Falda. Walter was there and a very friendly host. We can recommend this place. Don‘t forget to book in advance.

We added the pricelist for this year. Especially if you want to stay longer or park your vehicle be careful and negotiate the price in advance! Unfortunately, we have made bad experiences :-( .
When we were there we had to take care of cleaning the toilet and shower ourselves.
We do not think Walter is trustworthy anymore :-( !

Nice place with grass and shadowed places. New bath with shower with hot water and a toilet room are opened. Still some little work to do to offer a perfect Overlander base, but that will grow over time for sure.

oh, yes! what a wonderful place to relax a few days! Walter is a very good host, friendly, helpfull and interesting. As overlander he know well how to receive travelers and mais everything for be sûre you feel well. Our 4years old boy enjoyed a lot to play in the beautiful garden with the 2 friendly dogs and in the great swimming pool.
Good trails very near to walk in the nature and la Falda walking distance if you need to make some shopping (good carniceria for a perfect Assado in thé garden!)...
Entrance is not very large but We manage it with our 8,30m Motorhome and an other entrance is in project. We spend a very good week in el chingolito. Hope to come back soon to discover Walter's New projects!

How everyone wrote bevor, a very nice place in the "Sierras de Cordoba" :-) . During our quarantine in La Rioja we talked to Walter on phone and he was so nice to welcome us. From here we actually wanted to fly to Buenos Aires. Unfortunately, because of Covid-19, all public transports have been blocked :-( , so we are still here :-) . The new leveled parking spaces for Overlander and the fireplace are ready and Walter is looking forward to welcome you :-) . You can also park your vehicles here if you want to fly home!

Totally relaxing. Walter welcomes you and provides a key for entry/exit to house and gate. Approx 1300$A per night. Steep but short walk to good shopping. Great wifi. Toilet and shower are exceptional. Friendly dogs. Walter has some good plans for the future which will only enhance the experience he offers. Much of the property is on a slope so we had a difficult time getting level.

Great Place for Overlanders!
We stayed 7 days. Very beautiful and quite location. Walter is a very nice and helpful guy. In the town is everything what you need, for you and the car.
Camping is 15 US for 2 P and 1 car + 5 US for electricity.

Quiet overlander campground with excellent view and green garden/park with high trees for comfortable shade.
Excellent water from a 64 m deep well.
Clean toilets and warm shower.
Very confortable and covered BBQ area for gettogether with other overlanders.
Owner sometimes prepare delicious food or a typical argentinian Asado including special prepared grilled vegetables
Washing machine available.

We stayed here for two nights. Unfortunately, we did not meet Walter because he was on a trip, but allowed us to stay any-case.
Banos and showers for campers are under construction, quincho is ready.
We got very valuable tips from Walter.

We had some problems with the truck. Walter is a traveller himself and knows what you need when your truck is having problems. He has very good contacts with mechanics. We stayed a few weeks until we could hit the dirt roads again. Excellent place to stay.

Home of owner, Walter, has made a nice comfortable place in his big yard. Water, electricity and wifi. Pet friendly. Good area to sit and eat and you can use the barbeque. There is a hike just outside the gate that goes to a lookout over the city.

A place to relax, take a break from your Overlander trip. It is a quiet place just above La Falda with a view over the town, surrounded by greenery, hiking trails from the gate, shower, washing machine, roofed eating place with grilling area ( quincho) and wifi. Easy walk into town for shopping.
Price: 15 USD/day, plus 2 USD/day for electricity if needed.
It is owned by a globetrotter! Walter can tell you about many beautiful places to see and is specialized in the Antofagasta region.

If desired dinner can be served with prior notice.

There are two wonderful dogs!
