Good for staying overnight so we did. Relatively quiet at night - some dogs...

Nice free parking close to the beautiful town. We had a calm night. Felt safe.

Nice place to stay.
People are very welcoming. It took me 5 minutes to find where to take a shower, a lady even accompanied me there, in front of the hospital, at a private house where they asked me 20p and a lot of smile and benevolence
Not the best place for the nature but if you like to socialize it's perfect. There are few mins of bars just at the corner where people are amazingly welcoming

We try to find a place to camp near the river, the sea or in the nature nearby but we didn't find. We finally arrived here. It does the job, but it is one of our worst place to sleep during our all trip. Lot of noise during all the night, odors of urine, ... so try to find better place on your way.

Went to Tlacotalpan for their huge festival. Was able to sleep here a few nights (the next door clubs were pretty loud in the evening) . Then the festival started and the police needed the parking . So we moved to another spot

Place still available.
We had a delicious fish soup at one of the restaurants overlooking the river and a quiet night here.

Strongly recommend to visit this beautiful small UNESCO town and stay over night at this place.

As described, a good option for overnight. We stayed with our roof tent and had no problem. Although the place looks safe, the police pass by during the night some times. Water available on the building beside the Secretaria de Marina. We ask the locals and they said we can use the tap.

Good free spot, next to the river and very nice village. There is a small market, with everything you need : fruits, veggies and meat... Please note that there is no shade on this spot, so can be tough when it’s hot.

Well established fair size parking spot for travelers. Nicely leveled, close to the center. We parked there in the afternoon with the intent to stay overnight. However, local farmers started around 19.00 to swim 120+ cows across the river, accessing the river right where the parking area is.....4 at one time tied to the guiding boat..... Whole venture was promissing busy night. So, after first two runs of very reluctant huge bulls, we packed up and headed for Pemex.

Great spot. Secure, quiet (Monday), breezy, friendly locals, beautiful architcutre and history. Only word of caution is the grassy area between this parking spot and the river front. I walked through this and got a nasty attack of sand flies. Turns out I'm allergic. Healing it with Gelmicin. My partner walked in the same thing with no problem. Also, we preferred this to the other iOverlander spots in town.
