Description

Following a dirt road that goes in between properties you get to this cute access area to the lake. Some locals come hang out mostly to fish. We asked them and they said it is a safe area. The road gets a little narrow toward the end with a curve so no big rigs. Our van is 6 meters and went fine. You get some service here too.
There is one flat spot, we had to play with the van moving it a little bit but it was great! There is a big grassy area too where I’m sure you could park and even set up a tent but you can’t see the water from there, still very close though!

Good spot on the lake, can be tricky to get out in the morning when it’s raining because of the mud. The road is narrow, not a place for big rigs. Lot of local fishermen.

The iOverlander spot is on the dirt road. In this screenshot, we are the blue dot at the lake access.

To get to this spot, turn off the highway into the village of Victoria. Follow the main road through town. It will continue out the other side of town, skirting the lake shore. You will pass a hotel on your left. Keep following the road until you get to a fork. Turn onto the dirt road at the fork on your left side. It will wind between two properties and you will eventually hit a T intersection. Turn right. You will come to a gate. It is just for cows, don't worry, you can enter here. We spoke with locals and they said it is not private property. Keep following the road until you reach the lake access.
We stayed here for two quiet nights. We swam and bathed in the lake. It was a really pretty, nice spot.
HOWEVER! We spoke with a man whose father owned property alongside the access and he said things were dangerous here lately. It is safe and nice during the day, he said, but sometimes bad men come down here to do terrible things at night. He said there was a murder here one time. Around 8pm locals head home and you're all alone. We stayed without issue, but feel compelled to share this disturbing news. Use your discretion.

Great place for one night, go at the end of the dirty road (a big van can pass)
Near to the board of the lake. A lot of garbage at the edge of the water, we cleaned the area, we encourage you to do the same thing, would only be for other visitors 👍 and mother earth also 🌎
We were totally alone
