This place must have been a amazing years ago. Unfortunately it's completely runs down. Don't expect more that the view on the river, it's the only plus of this place for the rest it's deception on deception. If you want toilet paper you have to go BUY it at reception same for the wifi. The ablutions have not been washed once while we were there (2 nights). As we have a kid we paid 400 per night for the 3 of us which is absolutely overpriced for what you get. You better go wild camping further down the river you will get the same.
The owner told me that she was fed up with people telling her that her campsite is overpriced, maybe she should start asking herself the good question! It's really a pity because this place got a good potential

Green oasis on the way to Tankwa Karoo…nice grassy campsites, very quiet farm, big pond to have a refreshing swim

Bring your fishing rod for the Bass and carp , canoes for the river, and windshiels as the wind does BLOW!

Great campsite, in the week it's empty. Great hot showers. No power, no cell reception or WiFi. We loved it here. Price R100 per person. Nice river to swim in and lots of shady trees. Braai at every campsite. There are also cottages. The correct spelling is Die Mond.
