S10 to enter the park and then park where you want. We chose the main parking before the salinas. Better when the circus with all the buses is over, about 5pm, after that you're alone. Only a really friendly night guard who likes to talk a little about his country. Quiet night with lights you can turn off from the main building. Water on tap is available too.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We got sent away at the first gate. We were told staying the night is prohibited. We went to stay the night in our camper at the mountain view experience instead, a small ride back. The day after we encountered a security guard who said staying the night was fine, so maybe we just got unlucky.
Report Check-InEverything remains the same, how was written above: It’s $10 Soles/pp to get into the Salinas, and you can camp for free in the parking lot. Restroom are clean and stay open all night. It’s safe and quiet. The only “problem” is that they keep the lights on during the night... but it’s nothing comparing with all the good things ;)
Report Check-InVery good place to stay the night. We passed the first gate as it was open (18.00) and went to the main parking. Guards told us it was okay and we could use very clean bathrooms and water.
Report Check-InStill 10 Soles entrance fee. We camped for free above the main parking lot with nice views on the Salinas. Restrooms are open all night.
Report Check-InWe get in at 18:30. The upper entrance was open. At the main parking down at the salinas is a nightwatch. We asked for staying overnight. No problem.
Report Check-InIt's better to arrive at late afternoon (the gate closes probably at 5pm). And get up early to see the salinas before the crowd arrives (arround 9am). Very quiet night.
Report Check-In10 sol per perspn entry fee. nice to visit but very crowded when we were there. camped outside the park on a hill with awesome views.
Report Check-In6km from the Maras asphalt road to here. Unpaved road but all vehicules can do it. Easy for our 21 feet RV.
We didn't sleep here but everyone should come here to see the salineras. One of the most beautiful place in Peru.
Arrived just after 5 when everyone was leaving. Quiet night, didn't talk to the night watchman. There was a couple who slept inside the green building. New bathrooms, very clean and were left open all night. Tour buses started arriving at 7:15am but it still wasn't too busy when we left at 8:30.
Report Check-Insalinas de la época de los incas. actualmente es una cooperativa. 10s/persona. bien diferente de lo visto hasta ahora en Perú. merece la pena
Report Check-InIt's free and at night it was quiet but we felt the parking lot was very small and was a zoo with the tourist buses and quads until 6pm. The next day we went to moray which is only 40 minute drive from here and the lot was much bigger, more level plus the toilets were free. Would have stayed in moray instead if we had known.
Report Check-InThe4Dutch. We arrived at 14.00 at that moment Many buses. So better is to arrive later. At 07.00 the nightwatch asked us our name, paspoort nr. And country of origin.
