Something not right?

Description

Parking lot right by the beach, lovely and quiet place to camp.
There are public toilets, no shower. Tourist information available occasionally.
Wi-Fi available for 15 minutes.
We met some other overlanders here too. There is some grass space for tent camping but I'm not sure how secure it would be.
(is not alowed open the tent camping because here is also a parking and locals complain about it for the police)

Safe place to stay overnight and park the car to do the polonian cable walk. It has a public bathroom but is closed at night! We made the walk to Cape Polônio, we went coasting the beach and went back through the dunes... we found the way through the beach easier and about 30/40 faster - walk back and forth was 23KM

We spent there two nights. At first we felt a little insecure but then we talked to the people there and it was a great place to stay. A family of the town has a van there.
It is very close to one of the limits of Cabo Polonio, so you can do a lots of trekkings from there. Also it is very close to the dunes. All of this we were able to do because the river was dry.

Report Check-In

Local seguro, ficamos 2 noites.

we spent three nichts here for free. Police saw us every day, gut never mind. Very friendly people. Magic place.

Report Check-In

Still a quiet spot outside of town, right by the beach, but with facilities still closed on 10.12.19. There's a tap on the hose by the toilets which can be used for washing and is apparently drinkable water but showers and toilets not yet open. Town is very quiet right now, restaurants etc opening on 13th Dec.

Report Check-In

We parked on the grass to the left and in front of the closed bathrooms. Wifi only good for 15 minutes. We took the boat ride across to the park and then walked to the whale lookout. Okay cell reception. We liked the town and stayed 2 quiet nights. No beach view as it's blocked by dunes.

Report Check-In

Great location, wonderful walk to Cabo Polonio, very nice people. There is a sign Prohibido casa rodantes, but villagers told us it is Ok to park as long as we want.
No WC or water in low season.

Wifi libre seulement 1/4 heure.

Report Check-In

Very narrow space with sand, grass, some small houses around with very friendly people. Open WiFi not bad, but tourist info and bathrooms closed in off-season. You can have a walk on the beach, some locals told us for 50 pesos they can make you cross with their boat. Good place for one quiet night but for us there isn’t enough privacy

Report Check-In

It’s a nice place for one or two nights but off season ... quiet and calm

Report Check-In

Very nice spot just before the beach.
It’s possible to set a tent on the grassy area in the middle of the parking.
Toilets open from 10am to 6pm and free WiFi close to the tourism office.

Report Check-In

Nice parking a the beach, but the toilets were closed. There is a sign saying Prohibido casas rodantes, and another saying Bienvenidos casas rodante. Stayed here for 2 nights, another overlanders were parked here also

Report Check-In

Literally its parking in a sandy roundabout, surrounded by some small houses and dunes. We left immediately.

Report Check-In

A cold and windy evening with thunderstorms rolling in. The bathrooms and the tourist info are closed during off-season.
Nobody really here except a few stray dogs and a local couple on their way back from the beach. We ended up staying two days and adopting one of the local dogs. Wonderful beach behind the dunes.

Report Check-In

great spot out of the wind. perfect if warm weather to spend few days on the beach but probely very busy. WIFI not working tourist info closed.

Report Check-In

A few steps from the beach. Open Wi-Fi, toilets and lots of tranquillity. 10-15 min walk to the the center of the city. Right at the start of the long walk to Cabo Polonio.

Report Check-In

we can just say the same as the others, we stayed 2 nights here, did the 20km walk trough the dunes and along the wonderful beaches, we saw lots of sealions at the cabo polonia and dolphines :-))

the village is nice, friendly and really hippie-style :-)

we first asked by the hostel lucky valizas, but there we would have to stay with our small camper on the street, they wanted 900 pesos, just for using the cold showers, baños & wifi...

Report Check-In

Really nice. We parked in the little lane way towards the beach and had a quiet night overlooking the ocean. Toilets and showers closed. There is a boarded up building just on the beach with a beautiful deck where you can sit and look at the ocean. The town is really sweet and low key. You can also walk along the coast or cut across the dunes to Cabo Polonio here (approx 8-10km each way). Takes about 2 hours and is a very pleasant walk with deserted beaches along the way that you can enjoy all by yourself (although beware of stumbling into the random nude sunbather along the way!)

Report Check-In

It's just possible to camp here in the off season. Next to the car park is a bar and other houses. Some locals came in the evening, but quite at night. You've got plenty of lights, good for cooking, bad for sleeping. From here you can cross the river and walk to Cabo Polonio, it's about 7 km.

Report Check-In

Quiet place in winter, tourist information opened in summer, toilets and shower closed in off season.

Report Check-In
