Amazing and well kept BLM campground. Pit toilet that is very clean! the sites are gorgeous, although no campfires allowed currently due to high fire risk. It's a little bit of a drive from Pinnacles (45min) but for a free, safe, and legal spot it's amazing. Plus, it beats the $39 (tent) or $49 (RV) price at Pinnacles.

No more potholes on the road in but a very bumpy drive. Place is super peaceful and quiet. Clean pit toilets. Each site has a covered table and a fire ring. We stayed 2 nights and barely saw anyone. No cell service but would definitely stay again! Bonus: it’s free!

Stayed in a Ram Promaster 3500

Quiet, big and free. There is a little roof with a picnic bench for every spot for shade (not much shade to be found otherwise). Great spot for one or more nights.

Nice campground, a little far from everything but quite spacious. Got there easily in a crosstour. Free and pretty empty, got there at 8:30 and found one of a few empty spots.

Report Check-In

Nice, private and clean campsite with toilets and fire pits. No cell service.

Stayed in campsite #3. Infested with flying bugs and some yellowjackets. Spacious
Stayed 2 nights. First night only one other person in the CG. Second night a larger party came and starting popping off rounds of whatever it was… Laguna mountain is better for sure.

This campground had two sites left at 5:00 pm on Easter Sunday. We rushed back to this one after we found out the next (in the direction of Coalinga, across the flooded part) was completely full and 10 minutes later this one was full as well.

Enough space to not hear the other campers, parking level enough, metal mesh covered picknick table. Surprisingly cold night. Stayed only one night - we're on a schedule, unfortunately. Paid nothing.

free BLM site! 6 camping spots, pit toilet. each spot has a covered picnic table and for ring with grill grate. fantastic location, no cell service for miles

Great place. Bathroom available no running water. Nice view. Semi-private spots, they’re spaced apart nicely. The road to it looks worse than it actually is. Sure, some potholes, you can go @30mph comfortably so it’ll take @25 min to get there from hwy 25.

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of this place and stayed more that a week! it's isolated being 12ish miles down Colingua Rd but still close enough to King city and Pinnacles NP to survive! there are only 6 defined sites as others have pointed out, however they did allow camping along the road in if it was full. and we were able to get 4G Verizon at the top of the 1 mile road right next to the entrance, starting behind the metal gate. it is a 250 ft elevation climb so be prepared but great views all the way up to 2900 feet. also we hiked 3 miles in to Laguna falls hike across the street, nice hike but we never found the falls...

Lovely camping outside of King City, who knew?
The road is paved the entire way, but some spots are full of pot holes. Any vehicle can get here, I brought my 24’ bus no problem. There are six campsites, each has a fire pit and a table with awning. There is a pit toilet. No water. The campsites are a nice distance from each other so you don’t feel too close. Stayed for 3 nights because it was so quiet. Zero trash here, people are great at cleaning up !
The hike across the way has a nice waterfall, but the maps are horribly inaccurate with distance to get to it.
No cell service. Cut out for me right at the beginning of coalinga.

6 sites. We loved it. All filled by 4 PM on a Monday and Tuesday. 40 minutes from Pinnacles but way nicer the park campground. We saw the enthusiastic ranger (the “Lone Ranger” Scott) on our arrival, who shared a lot about the area and supplied multiple pamphlets and maps and told us that weekends are very crowded and target shooting is common. Very quiet first night and second when the lone generator was turned off. Great amenities with covered pad for picnic table and fire ring. Clean vault toilet. We hiked almost to the falls first day - 5 miles out and back. Beautiful area. There is also some dispersed camping not too far off if you have good clearance and don’t plan as a jump to Pinnacles. Couldn’t check out campground a mile farther on bc road was flooded and we didn’t want to risk it in our Promaster. No cell service for miles. 12 miles of winding moderately potholed asphalt off 25 to get there.

Nice campground! Pit toilets are clean. Filled up during the weekend but weekdays were pretty open. We didn’t get a spot the first night but there are plenty of pullouts along the road

Beautiful location. no cell phone coverage.

Nice little BLM campground. Sites spread out. Some more flat than others. Definitely worth going to if you’re trying to spend some quiet time outside.

Really nice campground for free! Picnic table and pit toilets. Really quiet in the middle of nowhere. The road to access is ok, kind of mountains road. The campground is just near the road but you can’t here anything.

Great place but only for max 7 RV. Not more than 22 Feet. No water no cell phone. More than 40 km away from NP. Very quiet in the night. 2WD ok.

Two small separate campgrounds about a mile apart. 5 spots in one, maybe 8 in the other. Both seemed really new and clean in 2018. Really quiet and pretty, so recommended!
