Description

We did not stay at Home Hardware in Cranbrook yet, but I called today and asked customer service if people could stay there one night in their rv. He said YES. I asked if the sign saying people could overnight there for 1 night is still there, and he said yes it was.

I also called Home Depot, and the manager said no, they do not allow it anymore.

So, Home Hardware it is! Happy Travels All!

Latest Check-Ins

gps brought me to the Walmart, but the real spot is northeast at the home hardware. Awesome to see a place with welcome signs, not "no overnight" signs. every other parking lot here has "no overnight" signs. keep it clean so we don't lose it!

Report Check-In

Sign stating “Overnight Parking for Truckers and Campers is WELCOME! 6PM to 8 AM” is still posted in the parking lot.

Report Check-In

Spending the night here, reassured by the "camping allowed" signs. There is another van and a bigger RV in the lot. Assuming the traffic noise will ease off as the evening goes on.

Report Check-In

free and quiet. any size rig. not perfect, ok leveled.

Report Check-In

Stayed the night. Arrived after midnight. Only one other RV in the lot. Quiet night. Employee started arriving between 6-7am, but never bothered me. Great place to get a night's sleep!

Report Check-In

Its great! Not many places around here will allow you to park overnight!

Report Check-In

Also phoned and got permission to stay the night.

“No Overnight Parking” signs now up. Lot is empty.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night. Park in white line carparks (not yellow). A few other cars/caravans also staying. Left before 7. Great spot. Walmart and Canadian superstore close at 10pm

Report Check-In

Nice place for overnight parking. Good Telus signal. Pretty quiet for the night until 6AM. We were 4-5 RVs yesterday night. Thank you Home Hardware.

Report Check-In

So nice of Home Hardware to lend their lot! Gets noisy in the morning, maybe 6-7? Please arrive late and leave early as they request.

Report Check-In

Thanks Home Hardware, right in town, please respect the rules arrive after 6pm and leave before 8am. Store opens at 7. Gives you an hour to shop, don't go to Walmart unless HH doesn't carry it, support your host!

Report Check-In

Quiet overnight, but when first getting settled in (9:30pm) really noisy with vehicles driving by lot and sirens in distance.
Many others parking here overnight as it looks to be the only place welcoming overnight parking.
Easy walk over to Walmart

Report Check-In

Good spot from 6pm to 8am. Unfortunately people are showing up at 5 today while the store is open taking away parking space for customers. I wonder how much longer they will allow rvers there!

Report Check-In

4 rigs here tonight with a big welcome sign.

Report Check-In

Great location for a quiet stop Loads of shopping around Problem is that all the rigs are forced into this part of the park and got a bit congested when we stayed Maybe best to get off early because I can see potential restrictions if other retailers don't open up

Report Check-In

excellent and surprisingly quiet. still welcoming. Hint... there's always something you need in this store.

Report Check-In

Great place to stop for an overnight.
Did our grocery shopping at the Walmart beside this place after crossing the border in Roosville. Confirmed the No Overnight signs all over the Walmart parking lot.
A few other RVs in the lot.
I did see a person filling water jugs from a faucet on the front wall of the building.

Report Check-In

A big log which is also with Walmart and Superstore. A lot of big placards around Walmart saying No overnight camping but at Home Hatdware lot it has a placard saying We Welcome Overnight Campers.

Nice parking lot for a nights stay. They ask that you park at one side or the other.

Report Check-In

As mentioned in other posts, big signs to say RVs are welcome to park overnight. A few trucks came in as well and as usual left their engines running all night but overall this is a good parking spot. Just don’t park on Walmart side. We have never seen so many signs saying no overnight parking!

Report Check-In

Quiet and no issues. Stayed for one night, moderate customer parking the next morning.

This is the only big Shop which welcomes RV in town.

Report Check-In

They have signs that we come RVs and trucks to park overnight from 6pm to 8am. Walmart is next door and open until 10pm if you need washrooms. Lots of other stores and groceries nearby.

Report Check-In

indeed the signs here welcome overnight 8pm to 6 am while walmart clearly forbids RV parking over night. look for the white lines parking lot (walmart is yellow)

Report Check-In

The Home Hardware has big signs saying they welcome RV and trucker overnight parking. The marked lines in their lot are white. The surrounding businesses and Walmart have yellow lines and many many signs saying no overnight parking.
