A great place to stay - Kevin goes over and above to make sure you have everything you need. As mentioned previously - bathrooms are opened and hot showers sorted. $5US pp and $5US for the car. The golf course is a stunning place to walk through, and the town has a lot going on. Meals at the golf club range between $US6-8 and you can get a lovely flat white coffee over the road at the deli and garden nursery.

Would give 6 stars if I could. Kevin is really nice, and loves having guests. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but you can get cheap local food 2.5 km south of here.

Kevin welcomed us very warmly. Flat, grass, shadow, electricity, wifi for free at the bar, drinkable water tap, hot shower.
20 minutes walking to the city center.
5$ pppn.

Perfect landing spot after border crossing from Moz. Kevin is a super host, so knowledgeable and helpful with information and resources for exploring Zimbabwe. Peaceful quiet night in flat grassy field with access to spotless ablutions and wifi in the bar. Still $10 for two people and a car

Enjoying the hospitality and help of Kevin after a slow crossing from Mozambique. Feels good to come here and immerse into Zimbabwe.

Such a great place for a stopover before going through the border to Mozambique. Kevin caught us right at the entrance and greeted us very friendly. We had a peaceful night and Kevin enquired for us information from previous travelers on which roads to take in Moz and which not.

Hot water didn't work when we were there but could use bathroom and cold shower. No braai facilities.

Stayed four nights since it was raining for most of our stay. fantastic value. very friendly staff, Kevin is super helpful. we enjoyed the walk to town and around the golf course. still 5 dollar pppn.

As already written. Lovely, peaceful place to camp. Loved walking on the beautifully kept golf course and chatting to Kevin.

Great place to stop. It’s not a formal campsite but has everything you need as one can use the showers and toilets from the golf course. WiFi is not very fast but available inside. But, what made our stay one of the most pleasant stays we had so far in Zim, was Kevin! He takes care of the place and is a true gentleman. He helped us with visa issues we had to solve and lots of other questions and was so patient. He wants you to feel at home in Mutare/Zim.

Food is available all day and is nice and reasonably priced (we had chicken kebab), the same goes for drinks. The bartender and other people working there are all very kind as well.

A bit out of town but still not too far to walk to the center (about 25 min).

Electricity and water are available at the campsite.

We camped here for several nights and were made to feel very welcome. Walks around the golf course listening to the birdsong and the beautiful trees.
The food in the clubhouse is good and cheap.
Kevin Woodward is an institution in his own. That's why people like to come back here. We didn't use the toilets and showers in the clubhouse.
The water pressure at the tap on the camping meadow was very low during our stay.

Marvelous place. Kevin is so welcoming and helpful. Big Rig friendly. Nice foid st bar, friendly locals to chat to. Morning walk around the course is lovely. Five star stop!

Big grassy area next to the golf course. Shady from the trees with electricity and water. Very warm welcome from Kevin and he is very helpful if something is needed. Toilet and showers in the house nearby. Nice terrace and bar also restaurant are available. We rest here after coming from Mozambique and had some nice golfing.
Kevin was so friendly and helpfully to get confirmed with Zimbabwe. Thank you so much for hospitality we enjoyed the stay.

Great place right next to golf course. Big open grassy area with enough shade. Friendly staff, bar and restaurant, and Kevin helps you with anything you need. In case you like golf, they let you borrow some clubs and plays some holes.

This is a very nice and quiet place to stay ! This was our first stop after crossing the border from Mozambique and Kevin was very friendly and helpful ! You can use the clean facilities from the golf club and enjoy the beautiful golf course and common areas ! Much recommended

Perfect place for spending some time in Mutare. the bar and restaurant is reasonably priced and has lovely views. Kevin is a wonderful host and was very welcoming. He was keen for more visits from overlanders!

The place is very peaceful and Kevin is really friendly and helpful. We can agree that the food is good and not expensive. You could walk around the Golf course or sit on the club house deck and enjoy the view. Still 5 USD ppn

Fabulous location, friendly staff, good facilities. Kevin is super helpful. Clubhouse has great vies, food is excellent and affordable. Highly recommended.

All the comments below are very true. Kevin is fantastic and he even organized an oil change for us. Good also for non golfers, the place is wonderful for a walk. Restaurant is good and affordable prices. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Kevin, the owner, is very friendly. We stay 5 nights at this place because we enjoy our stay ! There is all what we need, it’s perfect and we recommend this place.

Excellent campsite as a base for Bvumba NP or Moz transit.Best either side of the border by far. Kevin the manager has been a magnificent source of information and assistance in navigating the issues in Zim, highly recommended.

As nice as everyone else has mentioned, even more. Comfortable camping spot, clean facilities (bit old, but actually with a nice oldschool vibe), electricity and water available, wifi, what else do you need? the restaurant/bar is affordable and the food is nice! And Kevin is great!
We stayed two nights so far and may stay a third one!

Best place to stay in town! Flat and green with nice views for sunsets .
Kevin is overwhelmingly helpful! Free wifi around his office.
If we had more time we would have also played a round of golf (only 5 USD)

A lovely secure spot to camp in Mutare. ..right on a stunning golf course and within 30m of a friendly club bar and restaurant. sundowners front the deck are great!

Camping on a nice lawn, used the facilities of the Clubhouses,hot and clean showers.
Manager and staff very friendly,they even lended us golf clubs, and we had a great time playing golf.
We stayed 2 days, relaxing from the traveling. $5,00 pppn.
Water is of good quality, filled our tanks.
