Forbidden to camps near the lighthouse. We ask permission to camp 50 m further by the rock wall. We had a quiet night. But apparently, Fisheries and Ocean Canada is putting more and more post to forbid camping on its properties/warf.
Report Check-InWe parked in the higher lot, flat space for our van. As described quiet with a beautiful view.
Report Check-Inarrivez tôt pour une place en haute saison, endroit populaire (et avec raison!) accès à la plage où nous avons mangé, des gens se sont baignés, superbe coucher de soleil, près du phare. petits hics : venteux et très éclairé!
Report Check-Inthis is a working wharf...there aren't any no camping signs but people can see you from their house and I assume it will be busy in the mornings
Report Check-InGreat views of the ocean, fishing boats and lighthouse out each window of our van. Drove up to the small parking lot by the lighthouse where there is a flat spot right on the edge good for one van. The rest of the lot is sloped. Locals came by for sunset then left. We woke up to a bald eagle perched on the rocks.
Report Check-InVery quiet place. We parked at the top of the parking. Some locals drove there and turned around.
Report Check-InOne of the highlights of our remote camping experience. The lighthouse is closed for the season but we were able to drive right up and stay on gravel right beside it. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and fell asleep hearing the crashing waves. A real coastal experience!
Report Check-InBeautiful sea side spot by the lighthouse. Was busy for the sunset (which was fantastic) but was very quiet overnight and the next morning.
Another fabulous spot in the Maritimes!
Report Check-InNice and quiet place for our small van. We parked in front of the big rocks. The place above near the lighthouse was already occupied by a big camper which lives at the night (ground is not flat for big rig).
Pity toilettes are AVAILABLE under the harbor authorities office.
Great spot to stop visit and or stay. We stayed the evening and night. Lighthouse sells ice cream til 8:30pm. Parking lot was busy til 8:30. People where friendly and asked about the van. The view is great! Parking lot has garbage and recycling. Cell service none(Rogers), with Weebooster 1-2 bar LTE.
Report Check-InStayed one night and had thunder and lightning; between that, the wind, the waves, and the endless sound from a nearby building that I can only guess is for a cooling unit, it was a bit noisy, haha. Despite being there over a weekend in June, the lighthouse and nearby restaurant were both closed the whole time. Not much privacy, but there’s a good spot for morning yoga on the beach below, to stretch out the camping kinks.
Report Check-InNice spot for the night, with views of both the ocean and the harbour. Plenty of parking space. Several fisherman came and went late into the evening but no one who’ll bother you.
Report Check-InWe stayed here last night, very nice. It is quite popular with visitors and there is a small cafe. Quietened down early evening, nice and peaceful. A few locals came down, this is a small fishing community, we had chats and they gave us some great history. All round a great stopover .
Out of lobster season so maybe busier when boats are in and out.
Beautiful spot right by the Arisaig Lighthouse. Smaller campers will find a level spot. Seawater spray area at high tide.
Next to a small industrial lobster port. Free.
Other spots possible if you drive around the harbour basin.
