Perfect spot allong waterfront. Longstay campers are friendly.

Perfect for windsurf.

Report Check-In

Stopped here on a Sunday night and there were a few spots left. Make sure you walk all the way to the end. There’s a point at which you won’t be able to turn around anymore but there’s about 6 spots past that and we found one at the end still available. We didn’t stay though, only because Starlink doesn’t work from this location and we work online during the week. But it’s a great location especially if you like having others around to chat with. All the locals are super friendly and welcoming.

Rec site on the lake, lot of spots but also lot of locals and long timers. A bit windy but very quiet at night. Got one of the last spots with a ring fire and table. No connection

Report Check-In

It is today, on monday, quiet and nice here.

Report Check-In

Very nice rec site right on the lake. Was very busy with locals or long timers staying for the summer. We arrived on Thursday and managed to get the last site. Definitely worth a stay - our site had steps down to the lake, fit pit and picnic table. Gravel road was fine for our 22ft truck camper, steep part was very short.

lovely rec site by nimpkish River. short but steep gravel road in, wouldn't recommend for long vehicles or trailers. we were 20ft and that was fine, plenty of space to turn around when at the site for us.
standard free user maintained rec site, each spot seems to have access to lake via steps often. there is also a large gravel beach access for launching boats etc. we were there midweek and noone else there. roughly 12 spots.

Very nice spot. Busy with locals on weekend. Nice view

There appear to be TWO Rec Sites very close together. This one is very rustic. Just a road along the lakeside with a dozen or so pull-in sites. Some with tables and fire rings, some just flat cleared areas. Each has private access to the lake. Some with beautiful staircases built from driftwood. One has a shower site to hang your sun shower. Lots of artsy touches. It’s well loved by the community. There are two sets of two pit toilets but no water. NOT big rig friendly as there is no place to turn around. I *think* the people saying this location is wrong are actually sharing the GPS coordinates of the OTHER Rec Site (Kinman Creek) which is less than a km north of this one but when we tried to find it, the apparent only access was down a narrow two track that we backed out of.

Lovely breakfast picnic on our way down island ❤️

A nice friendly campsite…
Busy, but we managed to find a spot.

Report Check-In

This is a very busy campsite. All the doors are located well albeit a bit chaoticly.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place. You can park right up on the edge of the lake, with many of the spots having their own little beach front. Very quiet, incredible views. Take a walk to Kinman Creek, dense woodland that opens up into a creek at the end. The access road is short and well maintained. There’s a few semi-permanent looking setups from locals, but plenty of free spots when I went.

Great place. Really quiet view beautifullake views. Lots of space. The gravel road leading up to this place is in good condition. We were alone at our spot.

Report Check-In

Great views. Was quiet early in the season, only one other site taken. biggest mosquitos I've ever seen. Easily accessible.

Report Check-In

Locals are permanently camping there during the summer. We found a spot left for us to park. There were other spots, more like pullover, if necessary. Beautiful view on the lake.

very beautiful spot but super busy between end of June-beggining of July as there is a whole group of people that come here every year. You will have a hard time finding a spot.

Cute quiet place on the lake! I assume it’s busy in the summer, but in May I was fine. Trails nearby and a popular windsurfing spot! Hard to find for me (Maps.me has the wrong spot)... make sure you turn onto Nimpkish Lake road!

Report Check-In

Located at end of Nimpkish Lake so we were watching for it as we travelled south on Hwy 19. Yes after train track on the right. We saw a green Western Forest Product sign and turn lane. Only after you turn and drive a bit you see a worn out sign for Nimpkish Lake . Then we turn veered left and saw green sign saying Nimpkish Rec site.
Yes there is a left camper from a local. So probably many more in prime season. It is lovely here.

Report Check-In

There is a sign for Nimpkish Lake part way in from the highway and then another one pointing to the rec site farther along. Not too hard to find. GPS coordinates are correct but when following GPS it didn’t have the turn off from the highway quite right. Use the only road which is just south of the railway overpass. There is a problem with many locals filling the place with campers and trailers and then leaving them unattended. As a result finding a site was difficult.

Report Check-In

hard to find and when we got there it was full. it seems to be a local campground and a famous spot for kitesurfing, paddling, etc.
it's not that beautiful either. you can find much better.

Report Check-In

Perfect spot on the lake. I saw people here with problems on finding the place, but you just have to pay attention. There’s a sign saying “Nimpkish Lake” just before the first big buildind, just turn left before crossing the railway and follow the gps. We liked the place so much that we decided to spend the weekend there. A lot of places, friendly neighbors, there were a lot of campers there, but the place is big enough. We picked some trash there, so keep it clean! Pack in, pack out

Nice view on the mountains.
Great campsites with benches and fire places.
Toilets are okay. You can stay here for up to 2 weeks.

This is a very pretty place. It’s not well signposted from the road but worth the effort. We tried 4 tracks before we found the correct one. GPS marking is correct.

I have no clue where this place should be. Might be better visible at daytime but couldn’t find it at night. Coordinates are definitely wrong!
