Now here is another insurance company, the old one moved close to the grand Basar. I will add it to the map.
Still there and issues Insurance.
We first came on a Sunday. It was day after an official holiday and they told us that it would be an holiday and we should come back a day later. I think they could just not be bothered.
Next day we got our insurance. As described CDP, Passport and vehicle documents needed. No nice lady with good English and chocolate but a nice young man with Google translator. We paid 14Mil Rial for 2 Months for our 2.4l 2003 Sprinter
We got our one month car insurance here. It's still in the big building and is the official public Iranian insurance company.
Took roughly one hour and cost 9 million Rial for a small truck.
no Not go Thursday or Friday, it is closed or nobody wants to do anything.
Saturday it took 1h, with tea and cake.
1 month fiat ducato 2.5l diesel cost 7.1mil Rial, was 22,90€ sind.
You need: CdP, Driving License, Passport
you get: a small folded paper in a plastic envelope

Report Check-InWe got our car insurance here. For a Nissan Navara Camper we payed 3.9 Mio. Rial. Our friend payed 3.1 Mio. for a Mitsubishi Pajero. The lady spoke good English. Very easy process, took about 30 minutes. they offered us chocolate and tea.

Got insurance for a 2 year old GSA. 1,420,000 rial for two months. English speaking lady was very helpful.

You need to have an insurance in Iran. If not, you are considering guilty in an accident (no matter if you really are or not) and could go to jail. That’s what we were told.
Take a local with you, no one at the office speaks any foreign language.
3 months for a motorbike is 1800.000 (25 years old bike) or 1600.000 (23 years old bike). The younger, the cheaper :-)
Take enough cash or iranian Credit Card, if you have a Mahcard.
