stayed here for one night with our car and tent. paved road leads to several pool outs, some bigger than others. not a lot of pull outs available for a tent, but this one definitely suits even 2-3 tents. only saw 1 car the whole evening. very beautiful view over the mountains and forest valley. a bit of trash here and there but nothing too major. would definitely recommend for a night or two in a tent, car, or RV. it even has decent cell service

Nice flat spot for a 20ft van and 16ft trailer. Great AT&T, Verizon, and Google Fi signal. Beautiful view, fire ring and lots of trees to hang a hammock. From this camp is a road leading down the ridge with a nice campsite too. More secluded but not as level.

Needed a place for a quick overnight and this was perfect. Easy narrow winding paved road. Many dirt roads that lead to better spots but we decided to camp just off the road. Nice forest. Only 1 car in the night. Beautiful sunrise.

Quiet and lots of spots to pull in and camp

Report Check-In

Winding roads. Spectacular views. TMobile cellular available.

As described above. But as of 10/16/19 it is currently burning, or better smoldering. I drove up to the original posters location, but the smoke was too thick. Luckily it is raining and has been for most of the afternoon and will continue over the next few days. Probably a prescribed burn, hopefully. I drove back down to almost Hwy 199 and found a large turnout that was smoke free and shared by another van. This will do for the night. Great AT&T signal. The road was a fun drive anyways.

4 miles up nf 25. Many places to pull off. Paved road. Logging trucks started driving by at 6:30 am.

This Onion Mountain road has very little traffic. We have a 17’ trailer and we were able to park 30-35’ off the paved road. There is a site deeper down the Jeep road from here you could get a 22’ trailer to. LTE Signal is great here!

We drove up a dirt road off of the paved road and found a great campsite on a logging road. The views are spectacular
