Mexico
nice cascadas with special rock forming, this is free, this is also a spot for rock climbing but for traditionnal, you can also do a little bit of top rope with the trees and big rock, this is a really nice spot for camping with tent or camper but we ask to two locals persons and they told us that they dont recommand us to sleep there but that it is better the other side of the canyon.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Worth to make a little detour, stop for an hour and have a walk along this special rock formations. The water is brown and not really inviting for swimming. But all for free. We stopped on Sunday with Mexican enjoying the place, eating and drinking. There are temorary Restaurants and shops.
Report Check-InI stayed the night and all was peaceful, albeit you're visible from the road. Got pretty busy from around 10 the next morning (but it was a holiday weekend, no idea what it's like in normal times) with climbers and just people checking out the falls.
Pleasant little gorge with interesting formations; I'd have liked to have more time to go down to the bottom and check it out.
Make sure you stop off in the pretty town of Aculco nearby and sample some cheese!
