Nearly empty on a Friday in late November. Paid $5 for the night with our interagency pass, camp host was very friendly. Beautiful place, clean bathrooms, water spigots. Still quite a few mosquitos.

Nice place. it was almost full on a march weekend in 50 degree weather so don't count on getting a space just because it's off season. weekdays off season should be fine.

Formal campsite, $10 fee. Nice quiet spot for a night. We couldn’t reserve online though; it was first come first serve. AT&T and Verizon service both pretty good.

Report Check-In

Great spot! Surprised to find a national forest campground so close to urban center. But it feels very rural here. Just us, the campground host, and one other camper, on a Tuesday night. Three bars of 5G on Verizon. Great deal, $10 per site per night 14 night maximum.

Report Check-In

Nice inexpensive campground….shaded, spaced sites. All as others have posted. No signage to locate campground. Our picnic table is very well used and only available for seating on one side, no big deal. Pretty good AT&T service. We have National Park pass for seniors (old folks) so it’s only $5 per night.
Be warned…ticks are thick in this area.

It's closed because of the hurricane in October 2018. Not sure if and when they open again

Report Check-In

I can’t speak for the campground or leave a true review but wanted to make a post to let others know the road leading to it is closed and blocked off. It looks like this area got hit hard in the hurricane and there are a lot of trees down so I’m assuming there are renovations and may be closed for the winter season. Attempted to camp here on 1/12.
