Description

Very nice place to park for some nights. You have to pay the 40 pesos entrance 500m before close of the soccer field. This is a famous place around Guadalajara for rock climbing and bouldering. I think there is some hike trails. The formation of rock is like tooth and very scenic. 4g working very good.

Gate was locked, only adjacent car park available. There are a number of issues around this site. I recommend checking out the informal campsite Pulpequira which is nearby instead.

updating from my previous post:

We left and came back in around 7pm and there was a younger man at the gate this time. He asked if we were camping and when we said yes he charged us 80 pesos to overnight. He was firm on the price.

So 40 pesos day visit, 80 pesos overnight.

You could probably play dumb and mine climbing and get in for 40 or just arrive earlier in the day.

1 other van camping with us last night.

We did have an odd moment in the night where someone tapped on the window and asked 'Todo bien?' We told him 'todo bien' and he disappeared into the night. We had left a few things tucked under the truck overnight. We wondered if he was seeing if anyone was around before seeing if there was anything worth taking.

40 pesos entry per vehicle to stay as many days as you please. Not sure who was charging previous overlnders 80 pesos but we were told prior to entry by some Mexican climbers the price is 40 and the old man at the gate only asked for 40.

Zero amenities. not even trash cans. good cell service- 4G. Rocky parking lot - hard to find a level spot but doable. We stayed 3 nights and were alone over night.

Old school climbing grades, some short sport climbing and heaps of bouldering. Friendly local climbers have pads stashed in the boulders, they climb in the evenings and told us we can borrow their pads if we want to bloody during the day.

paid $80 pesos to stay overnight. Tried for $50 bit the guy wasn't having it. super nice for parking, there are still about 6 cars back here at 6pm. make sure if you use these map coordinates to stay on the road to the right through the little stone framed gate. we accidentally went straight and ended up on a dead end.

Good grippy rock for climbers. Rough road for the last 1.5 miles. Small sedans made it in here so you don't need high clearance or 4x4, just a slow bumpy road and a fairly steep but short section of road about a mile away. Flat spots are hard to find. A few locals and their dogs come and go day and night but all very chill and peaceful. Great vistas here! 50ppp but that's a one time fee, not per night. Maybe you could talk down the goofy guy that's at the gate. Bring food and water as this place is slightly remote and the road not fun to drive down. Campfires an option here too.

40 pesos! Very nice wild camping, trees for shade and to hang hamoc, very safe. Also, bouldering area with tones of projects. Empty during weekdays.
