Description

Civil Engineer property... free and open to camping... Nice big open area with many options... quite pretty down by the water though might need a smaller rig to maneuver close... Plenty of room for large RVs and horse/supplemental trailers. (not exclusively for horse campers)

Latest Check-Ins

Sedan accessible, stayed the night unbothered. Managed to get one bar of signal with Verizon, but only at the boat ramp down the road of the GPS coordinates.

Portable toilets are in good condition.

For those thinking of camping by the boating ramp, there is a sign posted disallowing such dastardly ploys. The GPS coordinates are the only allowed spot.

Still one of the free truly free campgrounds around. The road in is a proper road all the way to the camping area. The first area is a gravel circle with lots of grassy spots to camp, but very soft after rain. Continue down the lane and on the right is another mini camping area with much more solid ground but a tighter turn in.

3-5 acres of open field boondocking. would have been quiet without my neighbor 2 acres and a hill away running his generator all night. but free, clean and beautiful.

beautiful and quiet spot, camped here overnight in our motorhome and played in the water with our pups. :) no cell service.

Beautiful spot, some teens doing donuts and speeding around but besides that no problems.

Free as described by others picnic tables and fire rings and horse hitches scattered about a large grassy area with a few trees for shade. 2 porta pots a little bit of damn noise with dogs coyotes And the occasional local traffic and several other campers. no T-Mobile connection.

Report Check-In

Not a bad spot. Empty campsite at night. Local use. Interesting trail at the end of the road that runs along the river. Mud pits at some low spots. 4x4 for sure when muddy. Real humid at night in the tent, my dog was dying.

Report Check-In

Nice spot except for the locals coming by to do donuts in their pickup truck. Great if you want to do some watersports.
