Description

North side of I-84 @ Rufus. Was a CoE Park that apparently got turned over to a county that can't afford to maintain it. Pit toilet. No water (other than the river.) Paved to the east, sand to the west. Blackberrys in mid/late summer.

We camped a 1/2 mile east of the campground on a pullout across from the silo that was awesome! A berm buffers the sound of the highway and trains and the area felt quite peaceful. A pit toilet is 1/3 mile toward the campground. View of the dam in the distance was lovely and lit up all night.

all along this section of road, there are places to camp. See other listings on Map. I usually go to the gravel bar by the wind surf camps. The trees and level paved spots were nice though. there is grass, and paved but overgrown walking trails.
