Police guys sitting as the side of the road whistled at us to stop. He wanted to check our TIP paper and the drivers passport which he took pictures of and had a quick glance in our van, he returned our TIP and we could continue. Little did we know, that was the start of the terrible road, if they had told us we would have turned back and gone to the other border
Report Check-InWe weren't able to get a TIP or a carnet stamped at the border. The customs guys weren't there. After asking around in Toutlepleu, we were sent all the way up to Man. In Man we were sent to Abidjan. In Abidjan we were sent from the General customs office to the port customs office. Here they wanted to send us back to the general customs office. At this point we finally gave up.
I exited the Ivory Coast at Niable.
I drove past the customs office and wasn't stopped. Never got any paper for the motorbike in the Ivory Coast and was never asked for anything.
