Something not right?

Description

There are a lot of spots right off the road on the right hand side. There are a couple larger / flatter ones right here which are somewhat hidden and ones down the road which are much more uneven terrain

Latest Check-Ins

Even on a random Monday night in mid-October, there were still LOTS of people up & down this road. You can still find your own area, no problem. But just be aware that this is a very popular camping road.

2 bars AT&T LTE.

Report Check-In

Maybe just a one time occurrence but one guy showed up at 10pm and would point the head lights directly at us until 1 in the morning. this is an assh* move but what shocked us was when he started shooting his gun around 12. there where other people sleeping into every direction he could have possibly shot as the area was quite crowded. We felt really unsafe. Maybe it is better to drive further up to avoid the idiots.

Report Check-In

This is the first large, flat area coming up the hill. Several spots. I was glad to have 4WD and clearance coming up the road in the dark. Then I saw a full size schoolie next to me in the morning. It shows what can make it up here. Decent ATT signal.

Report Check-In

This is the first large flat area as you come up the road. We thought we were doing well coming up in the dark with our 4x4 truck with a camper. In the morning we saw a full size schoolie parked nearby which shows what is possible up here. Good ATT signal.

Report Check-In

Dispersed NF camping. Wooded, but not peaceful with heavy traffic. Rough road, but passable by any vehicle. Good Verizon, fair Mobile.

Report Check-In

Many sites. Some large enough for groups. Pretty clean. Good cell.

Idiots were having open campfires during a HIGH FIRE restriction. Considered leaving but it was dark. Next morn saw Ranger at their site watering down the fire pit. Hope they were ticketed.

Report Check-In

Beautiful places to camp all along this road 535 (525).

Report Check-In

Super nice spot in the forest, a lot of space.

Report Check-In

Like the people say. Flat spots, easy access and trees. Verizon service. a little dusty from the comings and goings of other campers but otherwise peaceful.

Report Check-In

easy to access with a big RV, nice flat ground, some RVs were parking there as well but it was not crowded at all. Some traffic in the evening hours but quiet during night. It was quite windy though. There is also a fire place but we did not use it, it was too cold for that.

Report Check-In

Bunch of other campers in mid of november but still very quite. Nice spots

Report Check-In

There are some other nice places 3-4 km after, after the switchback, with more sun. We went there because there was a lot of people near the road, on the 1st kilometer. BUT don't go there without 4wd, it's very muddy if it rained the last days, even if it looks OK. We tried it and we need help to go out ;-)

Report Check-In

If you continue up the road through the switchbacks there are more flat spots. Spots closer to the paved road appeared pretty uneven. Beautiful tall pine forest.

Report Check-In

A quick place to spend the night. Many people somewhat noisy, even on a Tuesday. Lots of flat spots and space for parking.
