The whole malecón is now a no parking zone, so you can't park anywhere here
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
if you are in a pinch, you can park on the main road through town. We asked in a small shop and they said it was fine. Traffic starts very early though at 5am.

Report Check-InNice little spot right by the lake. We checked with the restaurant owner first to make sure it was ok, and he said it was a very safe town and that no one would bother us. We bought some beer from him and set up our tent near the big white Pacucha sign right next to the lake. The wind blowing over the lake was pretty cold at night, but the sun was very hot as soon as it came up over the mountains in the morning.
We also visited the Sondor ruins on the other side of the lake - highly recommend! They are small, but you’ll likely be the only visitors there.
Route 3S from Ayacucho to Abancay was great the whole way.
Nice quiet place next to the restaurant. owner is very friendly. dog is good guide
Report Check-Inhermoso sitio para descansar, se duerme tranquilo... muy cerca de Andahuaylas, la carretera es de tierra por 30 MIN aproximadamente, pero esta buena..
Report Check-InArrived at dusk and stayed till early morning. Parked infront of the restaraunt on the grass. The ladies who worked in there told us it was OK. Bit noisy till 11pm and then all we heard was waves. There is a man who runs a small cafe and rents row boats across the street. Very friendly people and peaceful place.
