This is a mix of a park and boon docking. It is a fishing lake/reservoir. There is not much in SW Kansas. The photos are very nice it is deserted now in May. There is a boat ramp. We drove past that to the south. There is a place to the north as well. It is open area. No fires. We took a chance and were pleased with the location. The road is rutted out and lots of areas to camp. We are a bit higher overlooking the lake. If you have to pay we did not see any place to do so.

This lake is low water. But there are numerous, flat, quiet places to camp. There is a road almost all the way around. If you have time before dark, drive and pick your spot. If you arrive late, just park under a tree off the road. No services. No hassles. No fee. FREE.
Dirt road access is passable by any rig. There is one rough patch. Please take your trash with you.
We had a great time. Remember, no water or electric. Pit toilets were reasonable. No cellular service here for Verizon customers. This is a lovely, remote and visually scenic lake. We enjoyed our stay.
