Rest area on the highway 20 from Atlanta to Birmimgham. Very nice place on the parking with restrooms and tourism informations and others commodities. The gardian tells us that all rest area in Alabama are like that.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Definitely mixed signals here. When you pull in, there are several signs stating Overnight Parking Prohibited.
We called ahead when the visitor center was open and spoke to a woman that said we just needed to talk to staff on site when we arrived and they would be fine with us staying one night.
So we showed up about 6pm, talked to a woman inside, she said it was fine and would let the night crew know as well.
Probably a good idea not to loiter in the building since they're being gracious. We'll stick to our small van space.
Report Check-InNo overnight parking permit. Arrived late and security enforced the policy
