Along the road to cat lake you‘ll find plenty possibilities to stay for free, some place with informal fireplaces, nice view at the snow covered mountains

Very nice spots. Calm, just some dirt-bikers and noise from power lines. Consumed breakfast on site.
Report Check-InBeautiful pull out by the road. Few people side bu side. But really quiet! Barely hear the 99 Highway.
Report Check-InThis spot is amazing! Beautiful views. Space for 2-3 cars to park!
Also you can drive further down the road for more parking. Next to Cat Lake there is paid overnight parking for 18 cash.
But this free spot has the best views by far!! Highly recommend.
Bumpy road to get here!
Report Check-InOn a warm spring day all the campgrounds in the area were full and even the overnight parking lot in cat lake was full of cars until late. This was a great spot, I could park my 26-foot truck camper and 3 more cars showed up during the night. But the road is a slightly bumpy, has some steep parts (don't come if you have a long back overhang) and quite narrow, I could cross with cars but if another rv came from the other side it would be a real problem. Only 1 bar of very slow Rogers signal on my Google Fi and Claro phones.
Report Check-InSpent the night in a great spot overlooking the town of Squamish. Great view of the mountains including the back side of the lions. Very quiet. 3 bars of cell service. Great spot about 5 Km up the FSR.
Report Check-InStayed one night here. Road was fine, but I heard there was snow here not too long ago so not a winter spot. It’s legit just a pull off on the side of a dirt road. A few dirt bikes and cars went by to Cat Lake, but no one bothered us. 1-2 bars ATT.
Report Check-InGood lord, this road is rough and dusty!
Quiet night though. And 2 bars LTE on Verizon.
This is a Beautiful and peaceful spot. Great views of mountains in summer and even a signal on our phones. Highly recommended
Report Check-InJust off the road there is space for a few campers. It's quite flat and the views are great. I spent a couple of nights here in April and had no issues. I was by myself. The access road is gravel and bumpy but ok if you drive carefully. The occasional car goes past but it's quiet. There are signs indicating that wheeled vehicles are not allowed in the winter months.
Report Check-InWe slept along the route in a pullout.
Good atmosphere, in the middle of the forest
A few cars pass by but still ok
The gravel road is nasty
Lots of side of the roads spots, k. 1 and 1.5 are bigger and have fireplace. Close to the hwy easy access, dirt road.. Lots of Campers so we didn t felt lonely.. We set up our rooftop tent and slept with the sound of a river :)
Report Check-InLots of local come thru. Ruff road but easy if you have ground clearance
Report Check-InLots of spots along the road to camp. Very quiet at night since it's along a dirt road. Would recommend
Report Check-Infree overnight parking by the cat lake road. lots of pull outs, some with firepits. you also can stay overnight on the parking lot of the lake. the lake is a recreation site but for tents only.
Report Check-InSuper busy when I went but still found a great spot away from everyone else down one of the connecting roads. Careful when you're exploring off the main dirt road though it was a squeeze through all of the new growth in our small van
Report Check-InVarious spots along the gravel road. There was a lot of people when we were here during a long week end in high season but we had a very quiet night. Recommended !
Report Check-Inok place... if you don't find something else take it. lot's of space. lot's of traffic too. was camping with my motorbike.
Report Check-InAs described, lots of places to stay by the side of the road for the night. In nature, beautiful spots, but quite a lot of cars passing by.
