On #99 from South pass by at Cottonwood Recreation Site,200 m after there is a Forest Service Road on the left, after crossing the Bridge turn left. You will find plenty opportunities to stay for free, some with fire rings. At the end of the road there is big, flat turnaround with 360 degree view on mountains.

The bridge to access to all spot on the other side of the river is marked as « closed » on a sign and is broken. We managed to cross it but it’s pretty stressful as your vehicle has to be wide and drive has to be really straight as the holes as right between . But as described, 360 degree beautiful view on mountains in a ok looking spot.
Report Check-InAs described, nice open area with plenty of choices. We were only ones there, and it was a peaceful night watching the meteor shower. We always try to leave places better than we find them and it was really nice to see LITTLE to NO garbage there!! So yay!! to previous campers and site users:)
Report Check-InIt's a big open area with 360deg Mt view. There is space for lots of cars. Also hunters meet there. We were alone that day. The CD99 noise is enough far away. Not so many mosquitoes. We like this place!
